Q4CTF: "The Fallen Shrine III" By Kiltron
From Kiltron: It's a Multiplayer CTF and Arena CTF map and supports a full loadout of 16 players. This one is designed more specifically for Arena CTF (for all you speed junkies like myself) and trick jumpers out there who like to make videos. This map boasts some intense fast paced space fraggin' action where you warp through portals to a center battleground to reach your opponents base. Coupled with a kick ass music track by Sonic Mayhem, this one should get your adrenaline pumping.

Err
Looks ok I guess...didn't we have enough of this style in Q3?
I Thought
this guy stopped working with all id Software games?
Hehe
He's like you, he changes his mind alot
Well
I've just finished an extended session of playing the map 4on4 in a lan situation. It's a very enjoyable map, certainly has the 'fun' factor for me. I'm not a great fan of floaters myself, however there are a few that I do like, this is one of them. If it's fun to play and keeps me coming back I don't really care what it is.

didn't we have enough of this style in Q3?

Well, we may have had enough of this style in Q3, however a lot of others didn't, I for one still enjoy a good, fun map, regardless of whether it's style is considered stale, done to death, old, whatever, If it's a fun, enjoyable experience, a blast to play, who cares?

This is good fast brutal in your face action, love it!
Grr
I HATE floaters. I just feel so embarassed when I walk out of the loo, knowing full well that there are remnants of my visit, only to come face to face with someone waiting to go in after me.

These days, I always eat a small helping of iron filings in the morning to make sure that my faeces is denser than water and won't become an unflushable nuisance.
Lol

Er
Did nobody tell him the CTF colors in q4 are orange and green?
Meh
This sort of shit should have died with Quake 3.
Vorelord
If it's a fun, enjoyable experience, a blast to play, who cares?

Aerowalk is a fun, enjoyable experience, and a blast to play, but I would play QW if I wanted that experience. I wouldn't want to load up a brand new game (Quake 4) and play it, though I'm sure a remake is already in the works.

What I'm saying is, it's a new game with new features and new textures, so why the fuck would you go right back to making a map in the Q3-floater-void style??

Killboxes can be a blast to play too, but then 10 minutes later you're left with that empty feeling in your soul, and you try to fill it with microwaved pizza and Jack Daniels, and that doesn't help either, and then you just end up yelling at everyone because you feel so used and abused by the mapper who spent 7 minutes bringing you his latest 25 brush masterwork.

Do I hate all floating/void maps? No. But Killtron isn't doing anyone but himself a favor releasing this Q3-rehash (hay guyz I map for Q4 too ok cool)

Aerowalk is a fun...I wouldn't want to load up a brand new game..bla, bla, bla

But it's not just about what you want, is it?

Thats your opinion, to which you are entitled, and which I respect the right for you to have.

so why the fuck would you go right back to making a map in the Q3-floater-void style??

Ever thought, just for a moment, that your tastes are not held by everyone? and maybe, perhaps just maybe, there are other people out ther who do actually enjoy the style?

Killboxes can be a blast to play too, but then 10 minutes later you're left with that empty feeling in your soul, and you try to fill...bla, bla, bla

I actually said, If it's fun to play and keeps me coming back, hardly equating to what you said above... rolls eyes, but anyway...

But Killtron isn't doing anyone but himself a favor releasing this Q3-rehash (hay guyz I map for Q4 too ok cool)

oh contrar, there are quite a few, including myself who have gained something out of the map.

But it's not just about what you want, is it?

So the majority of people who play custom maps want remake after remake, never setting their sparkling eyes upon a new map? OK.

I'm glad you like the map -- really I am. Don't take it as a personal attack just because I said I'd rather not see any more Q3-looking floaters for Q4. I don't doubt other people still enjoy floating space maps...nor do I doubt that some people enjoy having their testicles stomped on with high heel shoes. If I said I didn't enjoy the feeling of spike to sack, it's not a shot against them personally, I just don't prefer it. I thought that was assumed, but for some people, they take their opinions too personally.
Not At All
Not taking it that way at all.

I Don't know what the majority of people who play custom maps want, your telling the story, your the one saying that didn't we have enough of this style in Q3
So I guess you must know?

but for some people, they take their opinions too personally.

lol, yes they do don't they
Stfu
blitz is right
blame raven crew for including dm17 and that xaero thing (worst q3 map) in q4

there will be many custom floaters for q4 I bet
Stfu
No one is right when it come to personal preference, moron, so STFU yourself fuckwhit!!
Vorelord.
You smoke anal-beard, fuckweasel.
Heh
I'd be pissed off if this was my map release thread...
Shambler
So I'm different from you how?
Fuckweasel
Easy Boys
A few floaters don't hurt, if there are other kind of maps too.

Shambler, don't talk the way you do. It's bad for the discussion.
LOL.
Voreload started it, I was just defending my homies.
You're Right
at least partly. Sorry.
