Hi Chaps, I need some help from a fellow planetquake hostee. What is their ftp address? They seem to have changed it without telling me.
Thanks in advance

That's good news, someone was asking about where your DM stuff had gone to on the rejuvenated Q3W forums not two days ago!
Yeah, I know, he emailed me.

Das Roboss - SP Mod

Check http://www.tylak.com/dasroboss.html to get your hands on a new HL2 single-player adventure. This one comes from the author of "Infinite Rift" (an excellent sp mod for Half-Life) and features three new levels and a rocking finale (you get to control a massive robot :D )
There's a lot of HL2 crap out there - so Das Roboss should come as a nice surprise. I was also a part of the beta-testing team.

Q1 DM Server Question
#7145 posted by . on 2005/02/14 03:13:12
I have zQuake, which requires QW to be installed, and it is a client/server all in one. I setup zQuake w/ QW on a friend's computer just down the road, he is on 56k.
I start a server (I'm on DSL), by going to Multiplayer/New Game. He tries to connect to my IP and we tried ports :27500 and :27015 if I understand these are the most common.
He keeps getting the looped 'connecting...' message. What has me curious is, if I alt+tab back to the desktop, my zQuake taskbar window says:
ZQuake: local
Does it say 'local' because I am hosting, or does it mean it is limited to LAN play only, and that I am missing something?
#7146 posted by gibbie on 2005/02/14 03:40:57
Fix your router by opening port 27500 (the default port that qw uses).
The 'local' means you are connected to localhost`, which is your own computer.
Okay OKAY.

...just thought I'd let you know, I loaded up NVidia's latest drivers last night (v66.xx) and Fitzquake launched without a problem. So FQ does run sans problem in XP SP2. I'm almost back in business, just need to dump my .rmf files onto the new machina.
By the by, the Doom3 Demo launched without a problem too. Stunning! Gameplay was a let down. Now I know what mutant owl neck syndrome is.
Err?
#7155 posted by R.P.G. on 2005/02/15 16:42:54
I wasn't aware there was a potential problem with FQ, NVidia cards, and XP SP2.
The drivers I'm using are 6.6.9.3 or something.
