Hrim
LOL very nice. :)

Also, in case no one saw on planetdoom, some d00dz are making a Hexen tc for Doom3. Can't reach the page, but hopefully it'll be damn cool.
Return Of The King, Extended Edition
Holy Christ on a stick, this thing is 251 minutes long. That is 4 hours and 11 minutes. This is going to be the longest movie I've ever watched so far. I will probably post some impressions in the movie thread tomorrow or the day after that.
Ahem
There was once a mapper named Lun
Whose maps were marvelously fun
Some poems he wrote
But this I must note
They didn't rhyme

Quake 2 Turned 7 Years Old
On Dec 1st, Quake 2 turned 7 years old...

there was an old mapper named Kell
whose limericks were often quite swell
but after a while
he would tire of the style
then - would - try - to - fit - as - many - syllables - as - he - possibly - could - into - the - last - line - and - bork - the - board - code - but - still - make - sure - it - rhymed - as - well
How Did Nobody
catch that 'Peyote' does not rhyme with scrote or note.
Just In Case
I know I had one or 2 inquiries from members here to me some time ago about me doing sites, I may or may not have missed more since. So in that case, the portfolio is back up.

Blackpope,
our ebon papist friend,

I noticed, but I didn't want to encourage anymore limericks.

WTF? I thought ROTK:EE wasn't out until December 14th?

Necros' maps were so bold
He increased monster numbers tenfold
With epic horde combat
He had a pet wombat
Named 'Gerald' (or so I am told)
Dec 10th
here in Australia.
Kinn
There is this wonderful thing, it's called the Internet.
Jago
Sorry, I forgot that shitty .avi rips being viewed on a monitor screen are the ideal medium in which to watch one's favourite films.
Kinn
AVI is not a codec, it's a file format containing data. The data within can be encoded with a bad codec at a bad bitrate and a good codec at a good bitrate. I'd say that a 3 CD DVDrip encoded with XViD with AC3 5 channel audio is pretty appropriate for a LoTR movie.

I have to live with watching movies on a monitor as I don't have a good TV, but may I remind you that you can hook your computer to a projector and watch the movies off your ROOM WALL. Me and my friends had access to one such projector when we were in high school and let me tell you, it beats watching movies from a monitor, tv AND movie theater screen.
Jago
a dvd on a good tv/projector will kick the shit out of any rip job, a 3 cd rip is a lot of quality loss. It might not be noticable on small screens but it is very obvious and distracting on big ones.

And the only way to see movies like LOTR is on a good screen with a good sound system.
Yeah, Well
A diminutive stream is a 'runnel'
and a small class of fish is a 'gunnel'
I'm feeling adroit
at making my point
so you try and rhyme shit with 'tunnel.'

funnel?
Lol Pwned

Projector beats watching movies from a monitor Very definitely yes.

tv Yes.

AND movie theater Well, not really. Though it is great for gaming.
For Spirit Of 85...
Every Xmas I pimp the same map.
Uh huh, Twisted Christmas is back.
Defeat an Evil Christkindl,
In this map the wont dwindle.
It's a blast, even though it old hat.

http://www.quaketerminus.com/mods/twxfinal.zip

Please not "map, back and hat" dont rhyme, and "uh huh" is not a word. Thank you.
Vigil
Yeah, but it's the whole "compressing ROTK:EE onto 3 CDs is an appropriate way to experience the film" bit that kind of nullifies his argument for me ;)
Cough
Fuck this and fuck that
Fuck it all and
Fuck the fucking brat
She dont wanna baby that looks like that
I dont wanna baby that looks like that

/sorry
Vigil And Kinn
Vigil: In a movie theater you dont have the ability to pause, rewind/fastforward and take a piss whenever you want. Also when watching with a projector in the comfort of your home, you don't have 5-year old kids yelling behind your back and throwing popcorn and people talking on their cellphones. So yes, I'd say a good projector beats a movie theater any time.

Kinn: You know, my friends say I'm weird when I refuse to rent movies on VHS or watch low bitrate dvdrips. But to say that THE ONLY ways to watch a good movie is in a movie theater or from a DVD is plain absurd. I guess you just never seen a good high bitrate rip shown on a good projector (or a large monitor for that matter) with a 5.1 channel AC3 audio being played through a decent speaker system.

Megazoid
Ehh, there is no rhyme, harhar!
I want to feature pure .bsp releases if possible. So no maps with new models and stuff, but "Twisted Christmas" is worth a laughter. Maybe at Christmas;)
