I Would Be,
you know that stout kid in a white tee carrying around a boom box he is groovin' to in Grand Theft Auto 3?

I would be 6) him.

What About...
xl1dm7 or 6? :(

And I'd use a different ztn map, just cause 6 is played a bunch and his oldies are still goodies and don't get much rotation.

Also some Electric Fish might not be bad, efdm9 has always been a personal fav.

For some horo play, why not effigy or infect by Moloch.

Perhaps kaiser's Devine Enigma.

Find a jvdm map too, those were always exciting.

Killjoy's Burning with Exstacy (sp) kjdm13 never got much play and that map always seemed to provide for a more conventional style play which is always nice to fall back on.

If you want a bal map, go for dm4 in my opinion that twisty single atrium map was always tops for me.

Beyond that, i'll mention more as I think of em, but that would be a good start for me.
Rotating Ents,,,
that's correct, it's just Q2 code buried inside the original Q1 source, I applied a QuakeSrc.org tutorial (like almost everything in Q2K4 so far) to enable it.

you're saying the q2 rotation stuff was already in the quake source? why on earth didn't id use it then? is there anything wrong with it? bugs?

Thanks for the reply. I do have xl1dm7 there; apparently I forgot to include it in the list I posted. I thought I'd leave Tangerine Dream (efdm9) off because it's a fairly common map, but if there are other, less popular EFDM maps you'd like to see there I'll put those up.

Also, does anyone have suggestions for some MisYu maps?

misdm10?
IGI 2 Review
Just wrote an IGI 2 review. In the next design revision for p|a I'm going to have a better article layout and bigger screenshots.

So
no one makes omicron bot routes then?
Which Func_msgboard...
Well
I'd say, the first one is Scampie :)

The second one, well that's definitely Pushplay, after being confronted with another "ancient Link"
Nitin
Eraser Routes, I'm working on getting them to you.

Omicron, I really wish Skorpion was still around, life was so easy then, a good new map was released, and a route was sure to be not far behind.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORSATO
Maps. Errrr which one is it?? The big twin arena one with grey-ish gothic textures and a green sky. That one r0cked.

Kaiser's SWTDIE, kick-arse gameplay map IMHO.

Good IGI2 review!

I agree, although I'm almost even more enthusiastic about the game(s) (IGI2 and it's prequel) than you are :)
Updated List
Added:
swtdie, efdm8, jvx1, sanity

Already have:
swk

Tried to add:
misdm10, kjdm13, kikdm6

MisYu currently doesn't have a site and I can't find any mirrors for misdm10.

kjdm13 is also MIA. It seems that when PlanetQuake deleted killjoy's site, they also decided to delete his directory on FilePlanet, thus solidifying FilePlanet's place in hell as Chief Executive Officer of Destruction of Talent.

For kikdm6, it seems that when Yogi decided to delete FreshTeam's site and take it over for his own, he had in mind to intentionally fuck me over so I couldn't check the site for alternate downloads, which forced me to go through that piece of tripe known as 3DDownloads, which in turn comes up with a DNS error, and all compounds to cause me to hate Scotts with a vengence even though it's only Yogi that I wanted to complain to. So when I destroy northern Britain, you'll know why.

P.S. Don't take me too seriously, even though this is frustrating.

P.P.S. On a lighter note, I already had swtdie and added it to the maplist as mentioned, but I also downloaded Kaiser's other maps listed at Prominence. They won't be on the maplist (well, maybe Enigma), but they will be on the server so you can rcon them up.

P.P.P.S. BTW, Vondur might have these missing maps. He's going to check when he gets home and send them to me if he does. Otherwise, I'll be asking for volunteers to mail them to me.
P.P.P.P.S.
I forgot that I wanted to complain about http://maps.quakeworld.nu . Nice map selection, but way to screw over the map authors by not including the .txt file, guys!
Ok
but you do realise they have kjdm13 on their site?

http://maps.quakeworld.nu/kjdm13/
Yes
I do realize that, and I refuse to download a .bsp without the author's .txt as well. At best, it's an insult to the mapper, and at worst it's a violation of the license agreement.
RPG
Have you checked http://ftp.sunet.se/pub/pc/games/idgames2/planetquake ? At least kjdm13 seems to be there under subdir killjoy.
AguiRe
Thanks. It takes about 30 seconds for the site to reply, but I did manage to get the file. Also, Vondur sent me kik_3.zip, and he helped me find misdm10, so I'm set for now.

I've been told that each config can only hold 50 maps, and the current list is 72, so it looks like I'll be splitting the list into two and swapping out the configs at random intervals. I'd like to have at least 40 on each list, which means I need another 8+ maps. I may end up just adding some additional maps from authors I already have (Frib, qurneL, etc), but I'd like to stay as diverse as possible. Translation: I'm still taking map ideas! Thanks to all, and keep them coming.
Heh
I agree its a little shady to have only the .bsp files for download, if for no other reason than the original .zip compressed them. However if someone doesnt have a map and gets it from your server, how is that any different?
