Sorry RPG,

It isn't Single Player so I can't get excited one way or the other for it. Though if the maps are nice, I would be willing to load it up to make some screenies.
I recommend fallowing the Alien vs. Aliens debate a few threads below, but so far it has been entirely civilized.

Alt V Title

http://white.sakura.ne.jp/~piro/xul/_popupalt.html.en
The alt text is intended to be used purely as an alterative to an image, for screenreaders and gawdaweful, text-only browsers. But people started using it for tooltips so the title attribute was created for that use. But almost everyone still abuses alt, pissing off the hardcore standards and usability people. Metl's usage is correct though.
I also recommend Nuke Anything, Copy Image, and Tabbrowser Extensions. :)
Oh Sheesh

That does look like a seriously cool map.
Yes

It's not bad at all. I like a lot of his work. The only thing I don't like to much, is, you have to shoot a button/switch to get to the quad, then make a little jump. None of which is hard, but as I play Quake II mainly with bots, that sought of stuff tends to be a bit of a problem for them. Jump pads can give them a bit of grief also
Q2.

Looks like he has a real good portfolio of Q2 DM maps there...
Indeed

He has some fine work.
Wow

#4582 posted by nitin on 2004/06/27 04:41:25
what bots are you using ATM? Gladiators?
Yeah
#4583 posted by VoreLord on 2004/06/27 05:18:03
I use gladiator, but when/if I get the time I will make a route for the Eraser. The gladiators weren't doing to bad in jesters latest map, I heard them rjumping quite a bit, and occassionally they were using the jumppads correctly, but I don't think they will ever work out the Quad, so I don't bother going for it myself.

do you think you could email me any eraser routes you have please?
also, have you tried the 3zb2 bots? From what I remember they were very good, especially with jumppads but the needed route creation as well.
Oh My.
#4585 posted by - on 2004/06/27 15:16:29
Jaces is one hell of a fine map. nice find Vorelord
TY!
#4586 posted by Jester on 2004/06/27 18:35:07
Thanx for the praise m8s! I suggest using the 3zb2 bots for some off-line play. They actually get the quad in jaces, not like the gladiator bots who can't seem to figure it out!
About Q2K4...
#4587 posted by frag.machine on 2004/06/28 01:11:24
Hi Func_MsgBoard ppl,
I want to apologize for:
1) my bad English (not my primary language);
2) my crappy site (actually, I did it in my lunch time at work, so bear with me :D );
3) no screenshots in the page (same as above, but I fixed that later);
4) ProHosting downtime (well, that's not my fault after all);
5) any Q2K4 bugs. I'd apreciate your feedback on it.
I guess that's it. Thanks to everyone who tried it. I am working to make Q2K4 better in my spare time. In a couple of days I will release a new version.

Yes, Emailing you the routes would be no problem. Although my main bot has been the Gladiator, mainly due to the ease of creating the routes/aas files, and I think it's a better bot, or atleast as good as the eraser. Usually I don't get around to creating all that many routes for the Eraser(Laziness)So I don't have all that many, and not alot for newer maps. I think I have around 500(probably more), so it would be quite an attatchment. It may be better if you tell any specific ones you are after, and I will see if I have them, although keep in mind, alot of the later maps, I won't have Eraser Routes for, because, well, laziness again.
3zb2
Well, I'm sure I have that bot, maybe not the latest version, I'll have to check, and install the latest version and see what it's like, if it can do things better that would be great. If it can get the Quad in jaces, you won't be able to wipe the smile off my face :)
I also came across 2 more bots that I never heard off, which were rated higher than all others, TMGBOT, and Goldsoft Bot, both of which I will be trying out this weekend time permiting. If the 3zb2 or either of the 2 other bots turn out winners, I'll see how the routes are created for them, and if I have success, I will start making some routes for more of the newer maps. Which you would be welcome to if you wanted any.
Sorry for lengthy Post
Jesters Maps
#4590 posted by VoreLord on 2004/06/28 03:34:01
I am really quite surprised that alot of you have never came across them before. I thought everyone would have known. I also thought that alot off you may not be that interested in Q2. I must admit I prefer Quake, and Quake3, but I still like playing it, and Good level design is good level design no matter where it is, well,...... Maybe not if the game is a real stinker.
Last Post, I Promise :)

Great maps, thanks heaps, they are much fun.
Q2K4
frag.machine, I look forward to your next release, keep 'em coming.
Oh,.... And don't worry to much about the Func_ bunch, they can be a hard bunch to please ;)

#4592 posted by nitin on 2004/06/28 04:51:37
just zip up all of them and send away if you can please. If the zip is more than a meg, send as many as you can.
I found the site that mentions TMGbot and Goldsoft as well, they're meant to be based of 3zb2 bots. I dont have time to check them yet but please post your results.
I used to have heaps of routes for 3zb2s when I played q2 dm, someone kindly made ones for maps that I liked. Now they're all gone ever since my HD crashed a while back. Pity, because the routes for some of the jumppad oriented maps were great.
Btw

does anyone do omicron bot routes anymore?
