.lit For Colored Lights Only?
Is there a need to generate .lit file while compiling a map if there is no colored lights on it? What else is .lit needed for?

.lit is only used for coloured lights or -dirtdebug (i.e. if you want to see ambient occlusion but no actual lighting), so when releasing a map you don't need to include a .lit file unless your map has coloured lights or no lights.
