If you only download one map this year, make sure it is Shibam from DaEgineer. This is one fantastic release that everyone should check out.

Also in this update is a review of PadPool by ENTE, originally released in 2000 but was never reviewed on ..::LvL until now.

* Iron Hive by sst13 - Space DM/Tourney/TeamDM 2-4 player
* PadPool for Quake III Arena by ENTE - DM/TeamDM 4 - 6 players

* Q3SOD2 by Ney - Experimental / Excessive Plus CTF 2-8 player

30 second videos for the first 4 maps and 360 degree panoramas for all.

Shibam looks nice. Judging from the screenshots it apparently seems larger than it is - I would've expected more than 2-4 players.

Iron Yard is probably a keeper, too, considering it's a sst13 map..

shibam and iron hive are both awesome in their own ways.
shibam has an open air feel to it. you have easy access to the rooftops and the entire map is basically one giant area. lots of detail, some edges are even beveled!

iron hive is less detailed, but cooler looking. the skybox is really wild and i'm a big fan of dark metal with green lighting highlights. :)

Those are great maps. I like esp first one. Have to check Iron Hive.
