The Dark Mod is a Thief-inspired mod set in a "gothic steampunk universe." From their website:

It's been a long, five year journey to this point, and Broken Glass Studios is proud to present the beta of The Dark Mod. We are also releasing four missions, including a beautiful and extensive training mission where you can practice all the new TDM skills.

wow, i forgot this was a mod :o it's very well done and extremely polished. it's impossible to tell it's doom3.

combat is pretty hard though, i actually wasn't able to defeat the guy in the training mission. :S he kept blocking all my swings and i'd eventually miss parries and die. :P
that's not that important, i guess since the point of the game is to not fight in the first place.

playing this makes me want to find the original thief games.
