Func_Msgboard: Need Some Good Quake1 Maps For CA

Hello, over at quakeone.com we run a few (net)quake servers. We run a Clan Arena server (rage.quakeone.com) that runs custom maps, and is getting very busy. We don't have enough large maps appropriate for big games of ca, and most nights we have 8-16 players consistently, with games up to 8v8.

Mostly CA is played on dm3, but it's only good for up to 4v4 max. Q1edge and q3dm6qw are good for larger games, and sometimes schloss, but we needs some more options as we've played them to death.

If you're unfamiliar, CA is a round based team game. Everyone selects a team, generally red v blue, but up to 4 teams. Then everyone spawns with full weapons and armor. There are no items on the map, the round end when only 1 player or team is left. Game is best of 9 rounds.

q3dm6qw is the perfect CA map in my opinion. They key features are that it's large, open, non-linear, and nice looking. 6v6 games play great, without the last 2 players taking forever to find eachother, which often happens on q1edge.

...you've had a look at qtdm1. Would it suit for this sort of thing? As with qtdm3, pre-release for a specific purpose wouldn't be a problem.

get PROX mod - it has some maps for CA gameplay (just check which, some are 1-1 RA trype)

If I recall correctly, everyone except for Speedy made a CA style level in their multiarena map. :D
