I dreamt that "metlslime" was a Japanese anime, (redundant?) that meant "Event / Date", "metl" = "event", "slime" = "date", and so I figured it was his favorite anime. It was wierd, because it borrowed heavily from Dragon Ball Z. It had Krillin in it when he had hair, except half of it was white and the other half was black. It also had a bunch of the DBZ enemies in it to fight, like robo-Freeze and the androids. But it also had these two lesbian-time-travelling chicks, and that's when things got really wierd, but that part doesn't have anything to do with #tf. I guess this doesn't either, but anyway, it was one of the gayest animes I'd ever dreamed about. 

So, do you dream of these... animes, as you call them, often?

Now that I have started using the mouse for movement (I was firmly stuck to the keyboard for years but the Drole changed all that) I realise that although fiends do indeed have eyes, they are not too good at looking: they leap in my general direction but getting out of their way is easy.

In fact, the mouse has changed my perspective a great deal with only the Shambler causing me any problems still. But he always did create lots of mischief don't you think?

I thought I was late switching to mouse play in about 1999. 

It only hurts for the first three or four months . . . 

Well, that shows what a dim perspective I have on life as I thought I was the only one.

I saw some demos of FMB100 on SDA and couldn't understand how they managed to jump round corners and take such evasive action when fighting monsters. And then the penny dropped.

Funny thing is that I used the mouse for HL, HL2, Doom3 etc and never thought to convert to mouse on Quake1SP.

And now my life won't ever be the same. And who says you can't teach old dogs new tricks?

Since scamp is quitting in a huff, can I have his moderation status please?? My qualifications are years of annoying almost everyone in the Quake scene, and that I blatantly only want it to abuse the power. In fact I promise to delete/ban at least something or someone every day, in an orgy of meglomanic bastardry that will make scamp's ownership of #tf look like a benevolent democracy, or I'll quit within in a month.

As soon as you like I will start by deleting Phait's shittest thread ever and banning him, and maybe speedy for good luck. Actually, to be safe, I'll find some way of tracing Phait and killing him IRL just to prevent any further stupidity.

Ah, back in 1996 (could've been 1997), I had config where I needed to hold down the numpad + to enable mouselook. You know, to look up and down, because I didn't need it that often.

Then I switched to QWSE, and am still bitter about every FPS today having their movement buttons bound wrong.
