I agree that artists and programmers certainly require some game-related training/ability, but certainly not anywhere near enough to constitute an entire bachelor's degree.
Right

At the risk of being redundant, the more time you spend learning game-specific stuff, the less time you spend learning technical ability and knowledge.
BTW Lun go answer my e-mail.

Where do some of you buy parts in USA? I bought my dad's system components from TCWO.com but unfortunately now they have gone under from what I read of a forum post.
It seems www.newegg.com is popular but I'm curious what else is out there worthwhile.

Starcraft Forums
#7437 posted by PuLSaR on 2005/03/19 11:17:08
Anyone knows where I can find the forum of starcraft mapping community, or at least where I can find and download best starcraft maps (single or multiplayer)? I mostly want to find mp maps that are played in 'use map settings' mode.
I used to map for starcraft, even made a SP campaign in adventure style with a long and interesting (at least I think so) story. But everything has gone after a HDD problem.. It was a long long time ago, even before I started to map for Quake.
Now I want to play (or maybe even map) some cool starcraft maps. Can anyone help me?

Game Developers Confrence Mp3s?
#7439 posted by DaZ on 2005/03/19 14:54:03
Yeah, so Im looking for mp3s of the GDC 2004 and 2005, and being the total non hax0r that I am I want to pay for them, so I stroll to the gamasutra site to buy the gdc2004 audio cd's and they are like $99 EACH !!!
so I lol'd a bit, said fuck that shit son, contemplated how ANYONE would pay such silly prices for them, and now I come here in search of enlightenment...
Anyone got any audio of any GDC's that they would care to "lend" to me?
