IMHO, the only weapons that will break gameplay are the Morning Star Axe, guided rockets, guided nuke, and the timed nuke.. This 3 weapons allow you to reach some area, or to kill monsters without having any fun fight...
So I really think not all the weapons have to be re-used, but as far as possible the one which allow the player have better power against monsters... Those one which allow the player to "cheat" during his progression through the map have to be removed...
And I'm really sorry to made this stupid confusion between you guys... I hope you will forgive me ... please ??

It seems I'm stupid, but what does mean /me ??
It's An IRC Chat Command

So if you typed /me hits Phait it'd show as:
<JPLambert> hits Phait
in purple text, which denotes an 'action' done by the user. I probably have the initial name syntax off, but you get the idea.
Phait

I'm sending you those reference photos at your work email, if you could upload them for anyone interested that would be good. I filtered through all the shots I'd taken to get this bunch together, dont know how useful any of it will be, but it's about 100 photos. There's 6 winrar files since my email can only send out 10 mb attachments and they total up to 55 MB.

This is cool, though i'd like to see the presentation cleaned up a bit. And it'd be nice to see it placed on a timeline.

the evolution of the crate. Going back to question mark boxes in Super Mario Brothers and those blank blocks you'd shove around in games like Boulderdash. The first crate maze (doom e2m2 probably), CrateDM, the first breakable crates, MGS's crate-as-disguise, HL2's crate-as-weapon, and perhaps commentary from the pillars of the mapping community on the future of crates in gaming.
It's Obvious.

Intelligent crates.
Bring the crate into the game by giving it A.I. The oldskool tactic of searching around for a suitable crate to duck behind will be a thing of the past.
In the gaming future - crates search for you!

Have a crate fallow the player around, throwing its self in the path of vore balls, and ofering a helpful path upward on occasion.

just got through replaying Farcry for the past 16 hours, please forgive me typo police.
BTW, the minimum requirements on the box are far more restrictive than is necessary to play it. I put it on my PIII/GeForce 2 set up last night and it plays fine, with no lag. The settings for the most part I put on the minimum but it still looks fantastic, except for the particle effects.
Far Cry Was Great...

I enjoyed it a lot more than Doom 3 anyway. Like you say, it runs rather smoothly too - certainly a lot better than Doom 3 (which ran smoothish at 640*480, aside from pausing every time a door opened.) The level load times were probably about the same.
My favourites parts of Far Cry were definitely the levels which were set mainly outdoors on large islands and gave you vehicles to drive about in. Combat with the marines was generally far more enjoyable than with the mutants.

Some of the Merc types in the later episodes are trouble too.
There could be a better selection of taunt dialog for them. "I'm gonna take you out!", "I'm comin' for ya!", "you want some of this!"
Hey, fellas; it's a war, not a date.
