Talk about anything in here. If you've got something newsworthy, please submit it as news. If it seems borderline, submit it anyway and a mod will either approve it or move the post back to this thread.

Firstly, I didn't say you were told with the emphasis you're implying, however, someone telling you to do something suggests that you were... well... told to do it, at least within my understanding of the English language.
Show me where I was told please.

Oh, and of course there are the various other posts such as [ http://celephais.net/board/view_thread.php?id=1&start=5393 ] that show that people should be submitting things as news. Oh, and the entire fucking thread that (among other things) concludes that we should be submitting more news [ http://celephais.net/board/view_thread.php?id=20859 ].
One would have thought that if you're going to participate in a forum then you respect the rules and ways of that forum rather than willingly ignoring the requests of the moderators. Either that or please, just fuck off.
And finally, Can't Tell You That Here as it may constitute "News", which would have to be submitted as a News post is a stunning example of wit that makes us all think better of you. Or just pathetic pettiness that makes you look like a wanker, I forget which.
Hmm

Bah, started two sentences in a row with "Oh, and" :/
And on a continuation of my previous post (yes, I'm aware I should no better, but I enjoy it ;)
get a life
To quote someone else, I don't need to, I'm a gamer, I have lots of lives.
And quite frankly, I'm not the one complaining because someone was slightly rude to me on the internet (oh no!), possibly try practising what you preach.
(And in case you were wondering, I am instead complaining because you seem unable to grasp the concept of abiding by the 'ways' of this forum.)
Hmm

My apologises for the triple post, but I cannot let my usage of 'no' instead of 'know' go unmentioned

Shambler is not a mod here,

Scroll to the bottom.
so I never ignored any request from a mod. So get your facts straight, Either that or please, just fuck off.

I guess I should have said that more clearly, you are obviously having trouble. When someone tells you to do something, it naturally comes with the assumption that they have the power to do so, At least in my understanding of things. As Shambler is not a mod, and is as anyone else on these boards, he does not have that power.
And as for following rules etc, up until recently the only rule in GA was
Talk about anything in here. Your understanding of anything may be different to mine, but thems the breaks.
makes you look like a wanker
Thats fine, I have no problem with that. But the difference between you and me is, I know I'm a wanker

No, it doesn't. Much as I hate to quote dictionaries at people;
v. told,
To communicate by speech or writing
Someone communicating something to you is them telling you something, therefore Shambler saying that you should submit something as news implies Shambler told you to submit it as news, I guess I should have said that more clearly, you are obviously having trouble.
And as for I never ignored any request from a mod;
No, actually, I'll just continue as is. That sentence implies you're ignoring scampie's request. Now, as you may have noticed during your extensive research on the people page, scampie is a mod. (And of course, there is the point that above and beyond that, repecting someone just because they are a mod is tantamount to sycophancy).
And it's not like I have any limits on my time either (and I, as anyone whose known me for a while will testify, just enjoy arguing (in the 'true' and more common senses of the word)).
I Enjoy Arguing Aswell

However I prefer to do in person.
No, it doesn't. Much as I hate to quote dictionaries at people;

That's all well and good, but I wasn't talking about the literal meaning of the word, as you full well know.

Now come on, you once again haven't got your facts straight. As you can see, I immediately followed Scampie's instruction and posted the News post. therefore from that time onwards it should be obvious that "as is" refers to the present way in which things were being done. I'm not going to explain everything to you.
So Let Me Reiterate

No, you were adding false emphasis to my words, which was something I corrected earlier and which you then failed to take into account.
Now come on, you once again haven't got your facts straight.
This is true (well, I'd contest the once again, but I digress somewhat). I didn't see the news post since I've just been sitting here occaisionally pressing refresh while reading through the PC Gamer preview of Quake 4 (which is one of the worst pieces of journalism I've read in a while btw). However, your comments in this thread implied you were going to continue to ignore the news submission link and just post in GA.
should be obvious that "as is" refers to the present way in which things were being done. Given the context in which you were using it, it suggests more of a continuation of the way you'd been doing things (which, the latest news post aside was merely posting in GA), however, this is related to my point below.
However I prefer to do in person.
Well yes, text has always left something to be desired, the ability to put the correct emphasis on one's words for a start :/

Talking in #tf (a better medium for argument than here, as it does at least allow instant response and clarification) and reading the Q4 article (as I said above).
