Meh
The gameplay just consists of following exact orders from AI guys, or getting blown up by mortars. Don't stray from anyone when you are asked to follow them, or you die.

You must not have liked the original CoD too, eh?
Ugh
Where the fuck is the Doom3 SDK?!
Lun
Aren't we supposed to get that when the patch comes out of beta (or whatever the fuck is going on with it)?

It still isn't available direct from id = beta. I guess.
Hey
anyone know where I can get some Q3 textures (I remember someone converted the Q3 demo textures) for Q1?
Hmm
Doom 3 Cinema Wallpapers, Volume 1

ZIP (1.17 mb)

These are 1600x1200 walls that I made from D3 screenshots, but tried to give them a more cinematic look. I can't run D3 demo above 1024x768, so the shots are stretched, but shouldn't be too bad.

Congratulations... This pack is really good...
Congratulations?
I won? What'd I win?
Just...
.. respect for the job... Is it enough for you ??
No
Nothing is ever enough, I'm Phait remember?
Hmmm...
.... and with a beer ??

IMO, bottom right one is the best.

blurry background and freaky figure = surreal art. :)

Wow, it's really impressive to see the gap: the main difference is located into the lightning effects. Dynamic light reflection and shadow management are seriously improved and increase the realistic feeling during the game... and you need to have a "race-PC-graphic-Card" to support the stuff...
Hmm

A 9500 or GF FX is hardly top of the line anymore
Racing Games ?
Anyone here into racing games? I want to get a road bike type game, and a couple of car racing games, rally and road/track. I don't want anything that mainly just has'oval'type tracks (Nascar), prefer more on the side of simulation than 'arcade', any suggestions?

Shambler - I know you love racing games, so please keep the suggestions in single digit quantity ;)
VoreLord
Perhaps Gran Turismo series will please you... That's for me the best car driving game ever made.. but it's my humble, opinion...
Oh, Sorry, Forgot
PC only,

Yes JPLambert, I remember GT series, I had GT,GT2 and GT3, but I no longer have any consoles, just not enough time to split between PC and consoles, so they had to go.
Hmm
Racing games tend to be one of those genres that are focused on console. I think you're gonna be limited by what's out more than what's suitable for you.

ps. Burnout (2 for preference, although 3 is damn good fun too) is greatest racing game ever
VoreLord
I'm quite into racing games. I don't have any at the moment, but I'm going to splurge on: Colin Mcrae Rally 3, 04 and 2005 - then Richard Burns Rally, and also GTR - FIA endorsed GT racing game, which was actually a successful mod for an F1 game. Check www.3dgamers.com for some demos. If you want to try some multiplayer in any of the Colin series demos that allow it, I'm up for it.

BTW - really try that GTR demo. While it's a press demo and you can only practice on the track (there should be a public demo coming), the sense of speed and hearing the engine and turbo is awesome. You can also adust your seat forward and back, and height, look left/right/up/down inside the car... Tip: turn traction control ON or you will spin out easily.
Gotham! Gotham!
PGR2 = orgasm, if you like a semi-realistic racer.

Burnout 2 is a great arcade racer. Burnout 3 is Burnout 2 minus skill and plus a load of pointless EA flash.

"Hey guys, I've just been checking out the scores at burnout3.ea.com and..."

:D

Yeah, 2 was definately a better game, but I still liked 3, just not enough traffic on most of the courses :/
Err
didnt he say pc only? :D

Have a look at Need for speed underground, its awesome. Best sense of speed I have seen in a game so far. (although burnout3's is very good too!)

Also, colin mcrae 2005 is cool, I tried the demo and its pretty fun.
Thank You
Yes, PC only, but thanks all the same.

GTR looks promising, will keep my eye on it. Am downloading that demo now and will check it out asap.

Colin Mcrae, will be checking the latest, and comparing it with Richard Burns Rally which I have been hearing good things about.

NFSU, I will check out the demo for that, although from what I remember from the NFS series, I had the original, NFS2, and another one for playstation long ago, and although I had a great time back then, as time went on and I began to appreciate more sim/realistic physics types, I left that series behind. But it will be interesting to see how it stands now.

Thanks again
