I've Just Noticed The Resmeblance
of Quake4 Parasite with Doom3 Pinky. Viewing the Quake2 model for comparison the resemblance has always been there!

I look like my father

I don't look like my father, but I look like my neighbor.
Something, Well, Weird?
I guess you might call it a DooM3 SP map, you don't get to kill anything, or even fire your weapon, although one of your party does fire his weapon, several times you'll see. It can be confusing, basically if you see something that glows click it. After you extract the zip to your DooM3 folder, you'll have to rename the zip inside that folder to .pk4. Download at your own risk, remember it's not SP as such, you don't kill or even shoot. You may be better off giving it a miss, but if you are curious, and have a little spare time, it's only small in both file size and time required to run through, so . . . . . .

Ah
I don't look like my father, but I look like my neighbor

The connotation of that, is that your neighbour, had sexual activities with your mother, resulting in the entity we know as Zwiffle, which in turn proves that you do indeed look like your father.

You assume too much. My father is indeed my father, yes, but I do not look like him. I look like my neighbor though. My neighbor, therefore, is not my father. You misread the logic of my statement.
Hm...
i like the idea of this d3 map, actually.
i think, if properly executed, a map where things start off slowly can be kind of cool.
even to the point of not being given a weapon until later. it might be boring, so there needs to be enough humour or whatever to keep it interesting, of course...

I don't look like my father, but I look like my great great grandfather... Did my mother fuck his corpse?

We all fucked his corpse.
Must...not...reply...

Shock !!

Newsify that, homie.
Barista3
it was over a bit fast, but it was really nicely realised. I wish there was more stuff like that in Doom 3, since wandering around on my own fighting irritating zombie marines and imps did kind of bore me toward the end of the game. The section of Doom 3 where I had to accompany the scientist in the dark was a bit shit. My fave bits in Doom 3 were probably the bits with the security bots it :)

The environment in Barista3 was definitely the best and most cohesive I've seen yet from a custom map (admittedly, I've only seen this and the earlier trite breeding facility :) and the fact that you could play about with pretty much everything was great. Aside from the fact there was a slight lack of ambient sound, I was really immersed.

The final section with the marines was nice, and I felt like part of their team the instant that guy started to fart. I know I couldn't smell it, but I still moved to the other side of the corridor :)

If Brandon Chung can do a follow up, continuing from where this one ends, and make it a bit longer and slightly more polished (in terms of the sound generally) then it could be great.
