Gamesurge's DNS must be fucked up on a lot of ISPs today as I can't even get to their website. However, connecting via IP 216.179.62.106 on the usual port seems to work.

apparently, all the content is generated procedurally on startup. pretty cool.
as for diablo font... i don't know why it is used so much. it's not like it's that good or anything. plus the 't's just look stupid.

Unless I'm mistaken, outdoors are handled just like id's previous engines, i.e. it's only a matter of polycount - there's no fundamental difference in the rendering of large areas vs. small, detailed areas.
