I'm working on a mission for OpFlash. Are these accepted as news submissions when released, or should I just let everyone know here in GA? 

Considering probably 2% of func_qmap users would have that game, Phait, I'd reckon it'd be more appropriate to post it in GA when you finish it.

Gamesurge's DNS must be fucked up on a lot of ISPs today as I can't even get to their website. However, connecting via IP 216.179.62.106 on the usual port seems to work.

yes it can be. they annouced there will be a doom3 tourney at quakecon... which is the second week of august... and august 3rd has been a long rumoured release date.
