Hour later, yeah, I get my new number, I'm activated again. But when ever I reformat, or reinstall, or Upgrade certain components from now on, I've got to go through that shit again, every freakin time !! That sux. I bought the product, I should be able to install/uninstall the damn thing as much as I want. Fair enough they have to try to stop piracy I guess, but freakin hell, limiting the amount of times you can activate, and therefore install sux big time.

Fileplanet login problems - Had a number of people say they are having problems with the login for Fileplanet. If you are one of them, here is the fix. Goto this page first and login, then come back here and click on the download links. You will then be presented with a page that looks like you are not logged in, however, all you need to do is click on the text that says Not logged in? Don't have a GameSpy ID? - you will then be presented with the download page. 

I have windows XP. Does anyone know how I can tell which IDE channel my CD-ROM is on? 

well, it shouldn't be too hard.

look in the motherboard's litterature and find the page where it outlines all the important pieces.

it may even be marked on your motherboard, near the connectors. for example, mine has "IDE1" and "IDE2" printed right beside each one. 

most likely it's on IDE2 or Secondary Channel because most people always place HDDs on the primary ide channel, and you're not supposed to place cdroms and hdds on the same channel. 

Start your system up fresh, hit the delete button when the letters start rolling -- this will take you to the Built In Operating System depending on the design for your system you should have a fairly easy to read layout of your hardware connection and the ability to change them.

Btw, what do the units in Quake correspond to? Is it 32 pixels = 1 metre or something? 

Caused by the different resolution settings, and monitor sizes, I don't think pixels would make for a very effecient means for measuring.

Don't forget, those Id boys are from Texas; throwing around the word 'metre' will get you looked at funny with scolding mutterings of 'Jacobinite!' heard in near proximity. 

1 unit or pixel worth of length in quake is always the same.

i think kinn meant unit rather than actual display pixels.

anyway, i think it's about 40 units = 1 meter, because the player is about 48-56 units. and most normal people are about 160 or so cm.

That is a bit dwarvish height.

Most of men are >170, tall means >180 or even, so I suppose that ranger guy is at least >180, because he's packed, pumped up, strong and wears tons of steel.

Basically it's 19 missions of stealth, IR goggles, binoculars, sniper rifles, autos, silenced pistol.. indoor/outdoor... the AI is alright but not impressive... still a fun game though. 

I've played IGI2 (and it's prequel) all the way through, even several times.

I find them excellent games! IGI2 is probably the best game I played last year. I fancy the beautiful graphics, but most of all I just like the style and "feel" of the game play.
