I've made a map, but I'm afraid to release it. I'm worried that stupid, tasteless people might be able to view it. This makes me feel unclean and I have to go scrub myself until I bleed.
Is there any way to encrypt the bsp so that you have to complete a test or something before playing it? I think all maps should be like this so I can feel safe and warm.
 Encrypting? Better Yet,

Learn Enochian, call upon John Dees to summon a Celestial Gathering of Seraphii (mere Cherubim need not be invited) to gaze upon the holy writ of MajSp1.map where they can fly above The Lord's Throne and sing praises to the virtiosity of virtual form rendered; thus insuring that the undeserving and corrupted eye of Mortal Man never see MajSp1 in all its Infinite Greatness.

If you're a fan of Mario games, I suggest that you download Mario Forever:
http://www.buzg.scene.pl/articles.php?id=67
Nevermind the Polish site. There's an option in the game to switch to an English translation. Which reminds me -- if for no other reason, you should download the game to laugh at the hiliariously translated text. I was just about crying from laughter before the game even started.
By the way, the game is pretty fun, too. It's like all the cool aspects of the SMB games rolled into a single game.
 Oops

I forgot to mention that the game is only about 6.5mb in size, and is a Windows game. Enjoy!
 AND!

And apparently there's a level editor for it! Which means it is especially relevant to this forum!

Awesome find RPG. I found out screwing around with Alex 4 that making levels for side scrollers is fun and easy.
 Ack

Platformers are so damn awkward with the keyboard. I can't play that thing until there's some gamepad support.
#4119 posted by - on 2004/04/27 00:24:03
perhaps you need a better gamepad that lets you map it's keys to keyboard buttons. my saitek p880 works great for the game.

My problem is that I forgot I had JoyToKey.
 CATTLE CALL!
I'm uploading the last tester for Ontranto as I type, and I need more beta testers.
Who will volunteer?

If you want someone to check the Hard difficulty setting, lemme know. Unfortunately, I'm probably too busy now to provide in-depth commentary on the maps, but I can at least tell you if Hard is, well, too hard.

After doing some "research" on the original Super Mario Brothers last night, I realized that Mario Forever is basically SMB with a few songs from Super Mario World, and it is not a conglomeration of games as I thought. Silly me.
If you want to play a darker style of Mario -- and with Japanese utterances and grunts! -- then I suggest you check out Super Mario XP:

It's supposed to be Mario meets Castlevania.
And nevermind the .lzh filename; WinZip and WinRAR can open it.

Why not building a map looking like your lego relativity theory ?? ... I mean, having multiple gravity direction feature..!! How to perform this in Quake ?? If someone have an idea.....
 Can't
#4127 posted by metlslime on 2004/04/27 14:06:44
You can't. Unless you don't mind being 3 feet tall and 6 feet wide when you're walking on the walls.
 Serious Sam?

i think SS has the ability to do varied gravity within the same map

I can't even get past world 2-4's stupid bouncy bouncer of death unless you hit it's horribly designed sensor just perfectly. :(

One of the things I don't like about Mario Forever... Mario games are usually pretty generous in that if you jump on the forehead instead of the exact top it gives it to you, where as MF is stingy.
