Yeah it was me. I figured of all the shitty levels the pick for LotW including the last one, someone needed to speak up for those who were making awesome maps, not just id knockoffs flipped and made into a CTF map =)

this a temporary warez thread.
Let's say I'm "writing an essay" about "online file sharing technology" for my "uni class".
If I wanted to find, for "research purposes" a torrent for the last half of season 3, complete season 4 and whichever season 5 episodes that've been aired of... ah, I'm just picking a show at "random" here, The West Wing, where should I look? DC fucks me up the ass and suprnova only got the latest episodes.
The RIAA ain't got shit to worry about, by the way. The internet is no fun no more! Used to be there was one place with EVERYTHING on it. Remember those days? Aaah, 1999, how we pine for thee. This is driving me slowly insane.
To re-iterate. West wing episodes, from season 3 onwards, for my research paper. Anybody got a clue, just give me a heads up in the right direction.
(Here I'd include a witty remark about scampie's genetic history -- but given that he might very well be having martin sheen him-self locked in a hole in the basement, I'll refrain.)

and there are many episodes of west wing from season 1 to 5. i don't know if you can get every single one, but the majority appear to be there, with lots of sources too.

FarCry
FarCry crashing on ATI hardware?? Um not here, runs wonderful.. running everything on highest detail settings too.
Sorry Nvidia has kinda dropped the ball as of lately, DX9 performance sucks.. and FarCry doesnt render quite right on GEForce FX hardware.
Hmm

I thought I'd buy into the hype and try the Painkiller demo but it seems more than a few FTP's are full.
Must be a good game.
About Retexturing Maps...

To any of you elite bsp coders:
Can you make a compiler that would erase the names of the textures used in a map when it is compiled? or would this totally mess up the engine when rendering the textures? I want to know because there are alot of people who seem to enjoy making 24bit texture replacements for regular maps (see
http://maps.quakeworld.nu for examples). The problem is, these sets usually arent approved of by the map author... and 99% of the time they look like ASS. So, are there any hax we can have to prevent this disrespect of our maps? thankyaverymuch

I've made a map, but I'm afraid to release it. I'm worried that stupid, tasteless people might be able to view it. This makes me feel unclean and I have to go scrub myself until I bleed.
Is there any way to encrypt the bsp so that you have to complete a test or something before playing it? I think all maps should be like this so I can feel safe and warm.
Encrypting? Better Yet,

Learn Enochian, call upon John Dees to summon a Celestial Gathering of Seraphii (mere Cherubim need not be invited) to gaze upon the holy writ of MajSp1.map where they can fly above The Lord's Throne and sing praises to the virtiosity of virtual form rendered; thus insuring that the undeserving and corrupted eye of Mortal Man never see MajSp1 in all its Infinite Greatness.

If you're a fan of Mario games, I suggest that you download Mario Forever:

Nevermind the Polish site. There's an option in the game to switch to an English translation. Which reminds me -- if for no other reason, you should download the game to laugh at the hiliariously translated text. I was just about crying from laughter before the game even started.
By the way, the game is pretty fun, too. It's like all the cool aspects of the SMB games rolled into a single game.
