I was hoping to have fun with that for a bit before it occured to someone to look at the ip. I put 2 megs of postings in a text file, grepped out lines starting with #, and used a Dissociated Press alg on it. http://wombat.doc.ic.ac.uk/foldoc/foldoc.cgi?Dissociated+Press
The results are quite a bit more coherent than random. Maybe I should have posted through the uni.

For those who missed my random posting in #tf recently about me trying out EVE, I can give out free 3 day trials. If anyone is interested in it, drop me an e-mail and I'll send you the invite e-mail. It's a really deep mmorpg set in space. Quality graphics, great market, good teamplay stuff. Anyways, you can check out all that stuff at htt://www.eve-online.com and see if it intrests you. I figured I paid 20 bucks to get a month, and I've loved it, was curiuos to see who else would enjoy it.

Chrome demo.
Just tried that in a moment of boredom. Basically, an Unreal2 version of Deus Ex. I.e. Pretty, decent graphics, functional, everything works. But ultimately, derivative, bland, and purposeless.

...but I'll be a happier Shambler if someone can help me out here:
My Task Manager only stays on screen for a second or two before disappearing, whether I summon it via ctrl-alt-delete, or through the taskbar menu. Obviously this is a pain in the arse as I can't use it to close programs or anything else. WTF has happened to it and how can I fix it??
Uhhhhh...

i'm trying to locate a specific model, but i can't remember in which mod or map pack it was in.
i remember the maps were egyptian themed. the monster itself was some kind of egyptian dude and he wielded some kind of staff. i don't remember if the staff actually shot anything or he just smacked you around with it. he was a boss monster, and you fought him in a small/medium sized arena.
i think he came out of a sarcophogus.
anyone know what i'm talking about?

OUM would be what you're thinking about necros. It's only the last map that's egyptian though.
