i can assure you the first link definitly works, its my own website at planet quake.

for fileplanet downloads you have to be registered with gamespy/fileplanet, which i know some people dont like.

but i can tell you that contract revoked also definitly is hosted at fileplanet in my directory, as i checked the link when i originally posted.

alright. If you have a separate download program you might need to temporarily disable it when using FP links.

Anyone know of any ambient sound packs lying around? Things like rain, wind, thunder, weird hellish noises etc for use in maps? I remember seeing a bunch of ones a while back on a q3 site but damned if I can remember the url... could really use em. 

Yeah I think there were some good packs.. maybe search the q3w level editing forum or something. 

Thanks for the suggestion... but not even 200 results under the 'sounds' search paramater in the editing forum yielded anything useful :-(
