Hi, sorry to bother you, I need some help finding a link. There was an article written a couple of years ago about quake dm mapping styles and their 'three ages' and i would really like to read it again (for a uni essay).
Does anyone remember it and is it still online or am I a dreamer dreaming of fairies?

I dunno if this is related, but a while ago I suggested that someone write an article about the different Q1 mapping eras. Nothing ever came of it, though.

Speedmapping 48 Wad 
this saturday the suggested theme will be to make a geocomp map. This is where a map is made using flat textures only (plain colour/material textures, no patterns/panels/rivets etc). Check the quake 3 geocomp competition results on nunuks site for an example, or my map from sm47.

The plan
Make a map in 100 minutes or less.
The suggested theme is 'Geocomp'. This means you are encouraged to make a map using only flat textures (plain colour/material textures, no patterns/panels/rivets etc), and the visual interest comes from the brushwork.
