@GGRC is back with dumptruck_ds for this special episode dedicated to the creation of "Dimension of the Machine." This is the highly regarded, brand new episode featured in the Quake 25th Anniversary re-release. We'll also dive into Christian's favorite (and least favorite!) Quake releases over the years. And as always, much more! The video footage is dumptruck_ds derping around the new episode.

I never knew Tom Hall made a Quake map. Checking it out now.

As a Quaker I always come away from interviews with Romero feeling like his third or fourth favourite child that he begrudgingly instructs his secretary to send a Christmas card each year because I was difficult to raise and I can't hold down a proper job, and I might get drunk and cause a scene if I don't get acknowledged.

PELASE NOTE: This video occasionally features gameplay from the Quake Re-Release that is unrelated to Kebby_'s work. When I don't have footage to show related to the interview - this is what is playing instead. (It's hard to capture an hour of related footage sometimes!)
LOL
I am going senile. Just noticed I posted the JR interview twice and didn't even notice there were comments below the first one.

I've been trying to go back and listen to older Quakecast episodes, and some of them just won't play. One example is episode 2, the first interview with Ionous. I always get an "Error opening file."

Works for me. Both ways - clicking "Play" and "Download".

Really? Damn! So it's just me. I wonder if it is banned in my country or something. Thanks, Gila.
#141
I don't think that would be banned for any reason. Maybe just an internet thing.

If you have problems downloading it I can make it available another way. Let me know.

Thanks for replying, Dumptruck_ds. I still cannot download it in any fashion. I can't open it in any browser, and can't listen to it in any podcast app on my phone. I still think it's a regional thing.

Right now there it's just episode 2 but I will upload as many as possible.

Thank you.

If you want to go on uploading the pods, I'm here for it, man.
Sure But
I thought it was just the one episode you couldn't get
Hello
No there are a few. I still don't know they won't play even in different IP addresses. It's probably just blocked in my country, and even that makes no sense.
Okay
I've started collecting the shows but only can find 25 on my local drives. So once I track down the rest I'll start uploading them.
Also
I've uploaded two others in the meantime
TY

Mopeybloke
I've uploaded a few more. I'll do this over the next few days/weeks - a few a day. I have to do them one at a time so it's a pain. Thanks for your patience. I wanted to archive them here anyway.

Just bear with me.
New Episode After A Few Years
Quakecast Mirror
Here's an archive of most Quakecast episodes (the modern era show, not the one from the 90s). I am currently missing episodes 7 and 14. If you have them, please reach out. Episodes 54 and 60 had to be edited to the 128MB max file size on Quaketastic. Those are only missing the introductions and thank yous. So you are not missing any important bits from the interviews. https://www.quaketastic.com/index.php?dir=files/misc/quakecast/
