I don't think ztn's been spotted anywhere in years. He certainly hasn't posted here since before this board was called QMap. He's dropped off the map along with guys like headshot.

Unfortunate, really. The ztn2dm's were always a source of inspiration for me.

thanks for that, most seem to suggest a reformat to be on the safe side though. Looks liek I'll be doing that unfortunately. At least I have it running enough to back up stuff on dvds thanks to your sending of the file.

Looks nice - another round of trim is definitely needed though, I think. I like the flat-texture style that's evolved in q3 (always wanted to try it ... :) ) but it requires a little more geometric density to make up for it.

The easiest way to find ztn might be to just release the map and see if he summons forth with a complaint. If it doesn't, I guess you needn't lose too much sleep - I imagine he'd be far less disapproving of a remake for CPMA from an established mapper than by some schmoe as a counterstrike map or somesuch. :)

He reappeared briefly last year to check out some speedmaps that were made in one of his themes. Apparently SleepwalkR is in touch with him.

Anyone have any tips for good/cool 2vs2 qw maps? Mainly thinking of gameplay more than graphics. 

Yeah so you're all mad p1mps so you probably know all the good Doom/2 level editors so what are they, dudes? 

 

I use doombuilder. Pretty solid. 

doombuilder is indeed the shizzle's nizzles. 

but it was dos-only and i don't really know if it was better than the other editors or not.

(the outer bounding is weird in Doom BSP's so I don't really recommend it).

I noticed that, but he slipped in so subtley I wondered if he wanted us to hush hush about it. 

I do a little Scheme programming for the Gimp on the side, it totaly screws up my html capabilaties. 

I had a dream last night where Shambler announced on func that he'd be leaving and also quit playing Dawn of War (knowing that was apparently very important at the time), but he did it by changing the name of General Abuse to something like Shambl|nomorewhk40k.

Also, metlslime made it so you could use icons in the posts again. 

You know things are fucked when people are dreaming of you...

Anyway, I am back after being away for a bit, and I am not quitting DOW as the mission pack looks very coo, nor am I changing the name of GA although god knows it needs it. As for metl making it so you can use icons in the posts, I'd quite like it if he made it so a typical func_page loaded the same day you clicked on it <insert grumpy icon here>
