Sounds sufficient, but there's definitely a texture thrashing problem in FQ 0.75 when heap is low.
In this case, the disk icon in upper right corner flickers madly as well and a massive amount of virtual memory is allocated quickly until either the MAX_GLTEXTURES limit is reached or Windows runs out of VM.

I don't recognize anything familiar except possibly some similarity with a lightmap issue I had some time ago. If you wish, you could send me the zipped bsp and I'll take a look at it. Does the problem only appear in FQ?

only appears in fq, and only at random times. sometimes typing kill or restart in sp makes it go away.
also, the map has changed since then, so it doesn't happen anymore.
it only seems to happen at select times, but this has happened on another map before too.

it's the correct texture, only the colours are wrong, which seems like some sort of lightmap issue. What happened if you enabled r_fullbright? Were there any warnings when run in my engine?

no lit files. also, i don't remember exactly but now that you mention it, i think fullbright may have removed the splotches. and nothing was wrong in other engines, not errors in yours...

if this only occurs when reloading maps with skyboxes, then it probably is just the same old skybox bug. The symptom is just mismatched textures being used when rendering -- sometimes that means lightmaps, sometimes skybox, sometimes something else.

hmm... well, in that screenshot, it looks like the lightmaps are corrupt, so with r_fullbright you woudln't see the corruption. It could just be drivers. If it's hard to reproduce, and only happens once in a while, and stuff, then maybe it's just random b0rkage. If it gets more consistent, let me know.

interested in doing *some* (whatever amount you want) work on the first map for Unforgiven?
It's a combination of beachfront/terrain and city sections, basically a series of scraps (including Necros') that I'm slowly welding together, using mainly the Daikatana Norway textures. Some fresh creativity brought to this map would be really helpful, as I've no inspiration to fit these sections together in any cool or coherent way. I'm not demanding anyone do lighting or gameplay or anything like that if they don't want to, but yeah some inspired cramming of sections together would be good to help this thing progress.

It seems that the 3d link is broken... anyway, my problem is after unzipping fbca102kt-rc1.zip and frogbotmaps.zip, it seems that the most important thing misses: a pak0.pak file !!! Where could I find the stuf ??

I've just did, found many links, tried it, download many things, unzipped many files, but no pak file appears.. and I still don't knoe if it's required or not (???) So wtf ?? Errr.. Other idea should be you send me a zipped file containing all the frogbot directory stuff ?? Or is it too much asked for you ???... please ??? ....
