but I agree that its one of the few recent hindi movies worth watching.
Also agree re music in Wolverine, didnt like movie overall but its not bad and the midway action scene + music was fantastic.

well, deeper than wolverine for sure!
Elysium was interesting.. but the villians just totally out shone Matt Damon i thought.
I'd put off seing Aeon Flux movie because i wanted to take in the MTV first. Anyway... they both blew me away :). Hard pressed to say which was better.

A mostly feel-good dramedy about the bumbling, bungling antics of a bunch of down-on-their-luck Somalian pirates who end up biting off more than they can chew with the attempted hijacking of a large US container ship.
Heavy on the slapstick, it's written as a sidequel/sequel to both Forrest Gump and Castaway, and I enjoyed it thoroughly, especially the heartwarming "Aww shucks, see we can all get along!" ending.
Three stars.

Huh, I did get quite a different feeling from it. It was grim and not feel good at all. Great movie!

300: Rise of an empire
Expected a silly movie but got a dumb stupid one instead. Maybe if you want to see Eva Green's tits. 4/10
 Well.

The original 300 was dull and pointless as fuck. Yeah yeah sepia filter, yeah art style WOTEVER. Can't say I'm tempted by the new one.

the moment I heard black sabbath being mixed with big a bassy orchestra for the trailer, it had casual blockbuster viewer written over it.

I thought the first one was utterly mindless and silly, but Eva Green is lots of fun, even if she is getting typecast as a sexy evil witch. lol. Snyder is really hit and miss for me, but his movies tend to have great trailers.
I was just looking at all the movies coming out this year, and unless something surprises me there's really not much to look forward to until Interstellar in November.

the first one was stylish cool fun. the second one was idiotic. the fights were boring and annoying with their fast-slow-fast-slowmo. in the first one the world made sense, I could believe the power of the spartans. I could not believe the turbine afterburner motorboat warfare in the new one. and that setup was just not as fun as the man to man combat in the first.

If you look forward to Sin City 2 (I DO!) mute your speakers before watching the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIFqHn_Ul0M
 The 300 Sequel Trailer
showed you exactly what this movie would be like, according to your description of the movie. When I saw that trailer I knew instantly that the movie would be shit.

fair enough, I thought the first 300 was one of the worst films I have seen.

 Trailers Are Lose-lose

You watch it and most of the time the movie is spoiled because 95% of the story is in the trailer or you don't watch it and get surprised because the movie wasn't what you expected.
 I Agree Re Trailers

no longer watch thme except when in cinema. I tend to just read a couple of reviews that I trust and that are generally spoiler free.
Of Course You Have To Like Sin City 1...

Watched this after 20 hours on planes, on a crappy screen the size of a postage stamp and forgot to pause it while I went to clean my teeth. It didn't make much sense this way, BUT I'm not sure it would have made much more if I'd been awake and paying attention...

Snowpiercer: Weird surreal movie about society. Nothing new, lots of clichees, bad script/acting, lots of stereotypes and the same old themes any movie/story critical of "our society" has had since the middle ages... Still charming and enthralling to watch. Warning, it is very long. Too surreal for my taste.

Perrier's Bounty: Mediocre british gangster flick with too much conflict and boredom.
