If you hate DuBSP so much, why don't you try my latest versions? They *do* support Hammer now you know (it was also you who suggested it) ...
Furthermore, both old versions of MisSP1 I have that we had so much trouble with before, they're now loadable in my engine to check for pts files etc.
This time, I think the tools can deal with it.

Von, that "babushkas" owned me slightly :))))))))))) u rok u filthy bastard :)
The problem of MisSP1 is that it's MisYu's map. The problem of any MisYu's map is I can't just force myself to finish any map. The problem with being not able to finish any map is that I can't pass compiler errors, mainly bspish =( That's also the reason, why qurneL stopped his SPish map (which was cool) and returned to make DMs.
However, I'll finish missp1, was running on the newest version I got yesterday (you don't have it, aguirRe, tho) and it could be classified as lower-middle class, so I'm quite happy with it =)
Von, u just rok =)
I Hope QurneL Will

Ground Control 2 demo rox0rs.
Basically, it's gc, but prettier :)
(And I managed to complete the mission on hard with 2/3 of my kills being done by a single sniper :)

I've got a problem with your excellent Fitzaquakeish engine. I found it very annoying to be not able doing GL jump because I can't throw a grenade directly upward- in normal quake or quakeworld it does, but in FITZQ it behaves like stupid Q2, where it landed behind you =(
Buu? =(
HMMMMMMMMMMM Indeed!

I got it yesterday, grindy, but have only played through the first tutorial mission.
Looks pretty nice so far, definitely a lot prettier than the average RTS....the close up detail is class.
Controlling it feels a bit difficult....the camera rotation and also finding your troopers. Also I get a "rippling" graphical glitch across the terrain....will tinker with vsync.
You up for a coop play when it's released mister spire?? Sounds like you have the skillz to make up for my lack of them eh...

PlanetQuake Level Of The Week
#4304 posted by R.P.G. on 2004/05/26 22:21:48
PlanetQuake has updated their Level of the Week page for this week's level, which is Adamantine Cruelty.
http://www.planetquake.com/quake1/features/lotw/
Also, I'll include an unfunny log for your unamusement:
<RPG|h0t> BTW, "Adamantine Cruelty" means nothing.
<scampie> yes it does. it means being cruel to adamantines
<scampie> poor adamantines :(
<RPG|h0t> "Adamantine" is an adjective. I believe you mean "poor adamants"
<bear> couldn't it mean the special kind of cruelity that adamantines are well known for?
<RPG|h0t> How can a stone be cruel?
<Zwiffle> how can it not?
<scampie> bear: NO! Adamantines are gentle creatures
<bear> RPG|h0t, it could fall on people or just sit ontop of a hill looking cruel
<RPG|h0t> Zwiffle: that implies that inanimate objects are sentient.
<scampie> but they are hunted down for they're toenails
<czgBlaargh> scampie has adamantine toenails
<scampie> the toenails are used to make erasers
<scampie> until mankind can learn not to make mistakes, the adamantines will continue to suffer cruelty
<RPG|h0t> I suppose you could interpret "Adamantine Cruelty" to mean "unyielding cruelty."
<scampie> ffs are you not listening rpg?

I'm Looking For
#4307 posted by Tronyn on 2004/05/27 04:22:07
a program that just rips whatever audio windows is playing to a wave file. The reason is, I want the music from this old game of apogee's called dark ages, which I believe I can run on a computer that sucks or if I use a program to slow mine down, at which point I run X program (what i'm looking for) and get the music from it.
Also, anyone have the soundtracks from Quake mission packs 1 and 2? Because of the fact that the Cds have data on them as well I can't rip like I normally would ("catastrophic failure," easily the BEST error message I've EVER seen). Of course with such a straightforward ripping program I could just get the music from these as well...

#4308 posted by Vondur on 2004/05/27 04:24:47
you can easily rip music from mission packs with CDEX program
and to grab whatever audio is playing use TotalRecorder program
Hhmmmm
#4309 posted by JPL on 2004/05/27 04:28:36
When you say whatever audio windows, what audio windows format (or file extension for more precisions) do you clearly think about ??? Does a simple google search have been able to help you or not ??

Sure, coop sounds great, and I'll be leaving this occursed uni firewall behind around about that time too (so I'll actually be able to play games online :)
I don't which camera controls you're using, but I found the 'GC' setup (mouse rotates the screen, arrow keys move it, mouse wheel to change height) a lot easier to use when trying to control my troops in hectic combat.

"a program that just rips whatever audio windows is playing to a wave file. "
I think you need to not rip but record. Set up th recording levels in your soundcard mixer and run a WAV recorder such as Creative Wave or here's a free one I haven't tried (recommended by ModPlug Central): http://www.cycleof5th.com/en/
You can record anything, usually, and it should be pure digital.
For FitzQuake Users...
#4313 posted by Jago on 2004/05/28 07:32:09
What is the command-line parameter to make FitzQuake execute a specific .cfg file when being run? With FuhQuake its possible to do "fuhquake.exe +exec file.cfg", but that doesnt seem to work with FitzQuake :(
I have several config files in my id1 dir and its quite annoying to have to always type "exec configname.cfg" when I run the game. And before anybody suggest it, NO, autoexec.cfg is not a valid solution for my problem.
Take A Look At
