I have a QW Requiem server up, but no one plays,
if you want I can run normal QW (or a diff mod)

Can someone point me to a high quality custom DM map that is not categorized as Yet Another Atrium map? I've never been clear on what made those maps YAAM. Reading the definition of "atrium" doesn't help any:
atrium
n 1: any chamber that is connected to other chambers or passageways (especially one of the two upper chambers of the heart) 2: the central area in a building; open to the sky
Based on that definition, every decent or good DM map I've played has been an atrium map.

try headshot's spinev2! its a really well playing map and it is definitely not atrium style. once you learn the layout you will probably get a better idea of how deathmatch layouts do not have to be circular-path-around-single-room to have exciting play. also, try id's dm6, and frib's efdm10.

I believe you can get Linux versions of DarkPlaces engine. DarkPlaces supports Nehahra with the -nehahra switch. You might have to compile it yourself, though.
