in any case, if this continues, we should contact the webmaster of the site, all the guildhall ones have been coming from their ip (dns confirms), and this is pretty much a step below spam. 

It looks strange: the first second I see the console and then it turns red and strange pictures start to run (these pictures are large symbols that should be shown in the bottom of the screen - player's head, numbers etc)

That guild hall shit is just a pathetic ploy for us to apply to an expensive school that is not "accredited". I think most of the people that have been around since Peej n' Fribs and the QBoard will have a decent enough time making it into the industry.

that's the joy of upgrading. I had about 20 games on my HD when I went from my p2 to p3 a couple of years ago. And they're still there thanks to the big HD.

Oh yeah, if you actually have UT installed, may I recommend the SP packs Operation na Pali and Xidia Gold.

At least the Guildhall is relevant, as long we arn't now hooked up to a bot with no off switch. I could type for pages on crap and that wouldn't be spam, but ... anyway, if someone has an actual gripe with them that's different but I'm seeing "spam" as an ad-hominem argument in this case. 

spentron: it's not func_msgboard news, which is about amature mapping, not game design. Not 'spam' per-say, but close as it's off-topic and they're submitting every update they do... if news'd, we'd basically have their front page as news here, with a speedmap pack every so often. 

Instead of basically having this place as Speedmapping news.

Hope that tutorial in Deus Ex didn't give you the wrong impression -- just skew your skills to heavy weaponage and you can spend the entire time blowing shit up fps style and other than a lecture from Colonel Carter there is no penalty for it. The game is really too good to miss -- I kept it on the hard drive for over a year before playing it for similar reasons as the one you give (did the same with Half-Life because the first little section bored me), only to want to kick myself for it later --

FAKK2, Elite Force were lots of fun. Didnt get into Alice or Rune that much... I still play SS1 every so often just for giggles. I loved the gravity system in Sam, I remeber a dm level that you could run up walls over the ceiling etc. VERY cool! There was a Sin dm level that had similar gameplay also, though the name excapes me. 

and thought it was better than the much vaunted Jedi Knigh2 -- it could just be me since a lot of my friends loved it, but I really didn't care for JK2
