yeah anyone remember MPQ? This has nothing to do with MPQ.

well, since I'm a literature major (probably) and for other reasons as well, I decided I wanted to make a list of all the books I'd ever read, including bibliographical information (handy when you can just copy and paste it, instead of annoyingly having to type it out manually every time you use a book as a source), some quotations from it, a general review etc, and some information about genre and rating. So I started writing it. Then I realized it would be WAY better, especially since if I kept updating it it would probably get unmanagably huge, to have it in html with a series of sorting options much like they had at MPQ (RIP).

So, a couple questions:
a) does anyone have any idea at all what I'm trying to talk about here?
b) how much work is involved?
c) is anyone capable of doing it for me?
d) does anyone want to do it?
e) is shambler gay? I think we all know the answer to that one

the last was purely there for entertainment value. I now await the barrage of insults and mockeries of my personality, maps, and site that will undoubtedly follow this post swiftly heh. 

that there's some software that can look up barcodes and tell you the book's info. You obviously need a barcode reader (maybe a cuecat,) the software, and some database for the software to connect to (maybe it's online?)

Just an idea. 

I'd like to answer e), but we had a long talk the morning after, and came to realise it was the booze running the show. Also, a tiny bit of, healthy and very normal, curiousity.

Peej went globe trotting iirc, cant remember when he gets back... if he comes back =) Qmap died while he was away so metlslime put up this lovely number. 

peej is "back" but doesn't participate much anymore. He's posted on func a few times, though.
