Sorry, the last shot was a mistake ... deleted! So the link is bad.

Shot 2 Is Remarkably Quakey

My glossary is different from his; currently I'm using these:
Look Ahead / Behind -> Projected Focus / Physics Smoothing / Target Focus
Look Box -> Camera Window
Camera Spring -> Lerping
Points of Interest -> Cue Focus
Camera Collision -> Edge Snapping
With camera shake pending.
Building a camera I try to have as few components as possible, but have them interact well to produce a more complex behaviour, which is why some of my terms seem to overlap a few of the ones he names.
I'm still missing camera shake and what he might term 'Target Focus Return'.
Platform snapping is a very interesting solution - I'd forgotten about that one.
Warren, those are your shots? Look awesome. And the stripped skulls beg many questions.

Well, shots I took, yeah. I didn't have anything to do with their creation...

this related post is awesome too... people often see prints and photos of famous paintings, but rarely get to see how thick and textured the paint actually is

brutalism: architecture that looks great as a tabletop model, looks great in the portfolio, and in application inevitably just turns into a grimy soviet parking garage

Yup

nevertheless the vid is a great visualisation of said architecture, especially the beginning, the middle and end.
