I assumed after all the maps, resources and help I have offered the quake community over the years I would get a little more respect than this thread and the various posts in general.

Of course you do. You have vast amounts of respect for your maps, just look at the threads in response to them. THAT is why people are interested in what you are doing, whether it's maps or models or events or whatever. You create public interest, you get public interest.

Func Admin, I am disappointed this thread has been allowed to exist. This is just plain trolling and a joke that has gone too far.

It was initially posted to highlight what appeared to be Retro Jam 2 - that is something of definite public interest, that a lot of people on here would be happy about. Ricky did not post anything trolling in his initial post (incidentally I tried to censor his stupid reply in the RJ1 thread). I changed the thread when all the twitter links disappeared - it was "allowed to exist" because again if the twitter disablement was a temporary glitch, it could have been something very positive for mappers / players.

Since that hasn't happened, the ball is in your court. Just remember that, despite a couple of idiots, THIS particular court has a huge appreciation for your work.
