Inspiration & Reference
I just wanted to know if people had any links to good websites for either level design inspiration (photos, paintings, concept art, etc.) or just for architectural reference. We had a thread like this on the old qmap, but we know how much good that does us.

This Door Is Cool.

I could imagine a whole texture set and architectural style being extrapolated from just this door.
That Freeway...
picture from post 2111 reminded me of the old San Francisco Embarcadero Freeway project that was stopped midway from completion. There was a decade of freeway's to nowhere while it was fought out in the courts. They eventually were demolished and are why you have to use city streets to get to the Golden Gate Bridge.

The freeway was a blight to the waterfront though so I get why it was stopped. The Nimitz collapse alone is a good reason as to why that design is a bad idea and there's only one remaining freeway like it (280 from the 101 split for about a mile) that I know of and every time I drive it I'm always hopeful that no major earthquake happens right then.

Yeah, yeah. I'm a San Francisco native (and old), so sue me.
That Temple...

Someone just managed to take a picture of my next map..:)
Cool Architectural Renders

Dom ber Einer Stadt (Cathedral Towering over a Town) and Medieval Town by Water by Karl Friedrich Schinkel, around 1830, originals were destroyed by fire.

For once I can say "I've been there" too. Funnily enough all I could think about whilst I was in there was "This is really Quakey".

This is some sort of big educational park two rich brothers made 120 years ago for every one, filled with caves and strange things. Use the second link for more photos.

Those are the only ones i could think right now that aren't famous enough, but can be interesting in photos. Sorry, but they are in Galician, not in English.
