It's controversial to call it a "source port" when it was based on the binary rather than the source.

agreed i was a little confused by the terminology. His english isn't very good so it's hard to figure it out from the website. It seems like "decompiling" is more accurate than "reverse engineering" which is also used.
FEKKING AWESOME!!

So far it works pretty good, finally something better than dosbox to run blood!!!
This Is Pretty Awesome
I even got some mods working which is amazing!
I have a few suggestions -
- Mouse input should be smoother IMO
- Aspect ratio is wrong in widescreen resolutions
- needs voxel support!!
I'm sure there's much more but this is an amazing start!
I'll Abstain Until It's Complete

Author has put out updates with fix at a proper clip.
This is too good to be true, hope he sticks with it, but its already great, and all this without source code, hats off!

I do not like the practice of linking to third-party articles instead of linking to the project's official home.
The official site for BloodGDX is this one, which is not linked in the topic description:
http://m210.duke4.net/index.php/42
It has much more accurate info than the posts out there.
It Already Linked U Poo Brain

http://m210.duke4.net/index.php/42
and
http://m210.duke4.net/index.php/files/viewdownload/9-java/50-bloodgdx
are way different links.
Also, I didn't even click on the "Download Link" from the first post here before, because I wanted to make sure I'd read the project description before deciding if I wanted to download it. Yeah, the download page also has a summary, but there isn't anything in the original post mentioning this, or at least mentioning that the URL is from the official website of the project. I don't click on random download links.
STFU And Enjoy

I'll wait for voxel models and MP3/OGG music support.
Blood actually runs well under DOSBox in my Core i5 laptop, so I'm not too eager to play it on a port.
The Port Is A God Send

for people like me whose computer is not powerful enough to run Blood well in Dosbox under Win 7 or later.
Previously under XP I was able to follow the tutorial at "http://buildxp.deathmask.net" and ran Blood very well with good framerate and sound and music etc but later under Win 7 no matter it is x86 or x64 the game is simply not possible to be run natively and Dosbox was the only choice but framerate was never high enough.
I intend to build a budget gaming pc later this year with G4560 and GTX1050Ti. Wonder how well it will run Dosbox?

Mankrip, the port also fixes Blood's diffculty bug, so you can play all skills levels now
Dosbox
requires a pretty powerful pc but there are some fixes to make blood run quicker. Just some ini changes.
I suspect voxel support and external music will be in one of the next updates

With this source port : 1980x1200 res, uncapped framerate : 2115, yes, two thousand something.
