No Rt23?
pity.

downloading...
Is ZQF's Map Quoth?

Wow...
haven't played them all yet, but these are pretty high quality for speedmaps. I especially loved how creative and mind-bending Digs' map was. Lots of good lighting and brushwork in the rubicon2-textured one also, i think that was Drew's?

Still have to play the rest.

For once Drew, no :p
Terrain Speedmapping Results
Only one submission. A Myst tribute (?) by necros: http://expo2011.quakewiki.net/detail-view.php?id=82&category=Events

drew: great map! Passed with pleasure
textfish: it was difficult, but interesting. Passed. How is made a shimmering teleport at the end?
trinca: map in the genre of "kill them all." Good gameplay. Passed.
zqf: speedmapping good map. Forced to go and look carefully at the corners. Passed holding the right wall

Play mind on skill 2 for extra sauce btw. ie no nailgun and 5 health

Enjoyable pack.

#1 - drew
Steals the show. Drew's SM releases always stand out and this one's no exception. Great use of Rubicon set, smooth transition between the two themes, good sense of place, nice setpieces - could have been a proper release. (demo: couldn't see the silver key door at first-)

#2 - digs
Neatly constructed, good mix of combat and puzzles. Clever tricks as expected from digs. (demo: second run - as it took quite a bit of time to figure out how to proceed the first time around)

#3a - zqf
Pretty good idea, reminded me of bygone dungeon crawlers. (demo: opted for skill1 as it quickly became clear that I wouldn't be able to survive with 5 health)

#3b - trinca
Excessive combat. Vore/zombie setup was fun. Damn those shamblers! (demo: that last one!)

#4 - textfish
Felt like skeet shooting. Sorry but I didn't enjoy it much. (demo: 'n'th try, as I didn't figure out at first that the void acted as a teleporter and kept getting killed in the process)

Thanks for your efforts. Here is the demo package:

And Drew, isn't it time for you to release a full-fledged, standalone map? The only one I remember coming from you (apart from speedmaps) is Egyptian Rhapsody from Winter Pack, which was also a joint effort. ;)
Yeah
Drew is a giant dick for always making great maps for the sm pack but never actually taking the effort of glueing them all together for a proper release.

Demos!

Pretty mixed pack imo, but I agree with most comments here. Drew's map wins, if it were a contest, (better than mine) followed by Trinca, then ZQF, then digs then textfish.

And leave Drew alone, be happy he even makes speedmaps :) GJ on the pack gentlemen.
