I love playing through it and was surprised that no one else had bothered to write a FAQ for it yet, so here it is. ==================== EQUINOX: SOLSTICE II ==================== STORY [Taken from the game's intro]: Since the defeat of Melkoir by the wizard Shadax, Galadonia had been a happy and peaceful kingdom. One day, soon after Shadax had left to tutor Sonia, Galadonia was ravaged by fierce storms. A plague of foul creatures descended and the land was left in chaos... This could only be the work of Sonia... You take the role of Glendaal the only son of Shadax. Your task is to journey to Sonia's icy fortress and rescue your father from the clutches of the evil witch. Thus bringing peace to the land. As a novice wizard you begin with no magic or weapons. You must learn and find whatever you can get on your quest... BACKGROUND: Few players will remember the first instalment in this series, Solstice. Released for the NES many years ago it was played in a similar fashion to that of Equinox. In Solstice you controlled Shadax the wizard and you were trying to rescue your girlfriend from some evil wizard. A very similar plot actually, I guess it didn't need to be changed very much to satisfy the small audience that the series had. Both games are played in a 3/4 perspective, similar to Diablo. BASIC INFORMATION: Gameplay in Equinox takes place in 1 of 2 areas, the overworld and underground in one of the games eight dungeons. On the overworld you will find the entrances to the dungeons, as well as bats and trolls wandering around. ITEMS: Aside from weapons and spells (explained below), there are 4 types of items that can be picked up. These are keys, potions, apples and tokens. Keys - Come in green, blue, red or white, they unlock any door that matches their color. Potions - Also come in green, blue, red or white, the color indicates the strength of the potion. Green - 1 MP is refilled. Blue - 2 MP are refilled. Red - 3 MP are refilled. White - Magic is fully restored. Apples - These also come in green, blue, red, or white, the color indicates the strength of the apple. Green - 0.5 HP (health) is restored. Blue - 1 HP is restored. Red - 1.5 HP are restored. White - 2 HP are restored. Tokens - In every dungeon there are 12 tokens, once you find all 12 you can proceed to the boss's room and summon them to do battle. They look like shiny purple spheres. WEAPONS: You can find a total of 8 different weapons in the game, one for each dungeon, and they are as follows. *NOTE* When you find a new weapon, you should proceed to the overworld and defeat a troll with the new weapon, this will increase your total health by 1 HP. 1 - Knife, average, 1 shot at a time. 2 - Shuriken, slow, 2 shots at once. 3 - Axe, fast, 3 shots at once. 4 - Twin Knife, fast, 3 shots at once, in opposite directions. 5 - Sword, slow, 2 shots at once. 6 - Scimitar, fast, 3 shots at once. 7 - Mace, fast, 3 shots at once. 8 - Twin Sword, fast, 3 shots at once, in opposite directions. Each new weapon that you find is obviously stronger than the previous weapon, however I tend to switch to the faster weapon, or the weapon that can fire the most shots in some situations, if I need to dispatch some enemies with ease. SPELLS: You can find a total of 8 different spells in the game, one for each dungeon, and they are as follows. *NOTE* When you find a new spell your total magic is extended by 1 MP, and refilled. 1 - Heal, replenishes 0.5 pieces of health. [Cost: 0.5 MP] 2 - Slow, slows down the movement of all enemies in the room for about 8 seconds. [Cost: 1 MP] 3 - Damage - Damages all enemies in the room. [Cost: 1.5 MP] 4 - Freeze - Stops the movement of all enemies in the room for about 8 seconds. [Cost: 2 MP] 5 - Zap - Damages all enemies in the room, more powerful than the damage spell. [Cost: 2.5 MP] 6 - Save - Saves your game inside a dungeon! Very useful, unfortunately you get it very late in the game. [Cost: 3 MP] 7 - Reveal - Shows you where enemies, hidden blocks, loose blocks, and moving blocks are in a room. Though helpful, it takes too much MP to use very often. [Cost: 3.5 MP] 8 - Unlock - Unlocks all locked doors in any room. Very helpful, but you will only get to use it on 2 or 3 doors in the last dungeon. [Cost: 4 MP] ENEMIES: You will face 2 types of enemies on the overworld, trolls and bats. You will face 5 types of enemies in the dungeons of the game, excluding the bosses. OVERWORLD Trolls - The trolls appear on the overworld where you see a cloud wandering around. They get progressively stronger for each area of the overworld that is above each new dungeon. The trolls have a basic pattern, they will leap back one square, left/right 1, forward 2, right/left 1, and back 1, then it will pause before repeating the pattern. You can only hit the troll by jumping and using your weapon, thus hitting it around the face area. Once you defeat a troll your health is fully restored, also if you defeat one with a new weapon your total health will be increased by 1 HP. Bats - The bats appear on the overworld anywhere that there is a hole in the ground, these holes look different as you go through the game but are easy to recognize. Like the trolls they get progressively stronger for each area of the overworld that is above each new dungeon. The bats have a basic pattern, they will go left/right a square or two, pause then lunge forward at you, this can be avoided by going left or right, the bat then retreats back, and repeats this pattern. The bat can only be damaged in the face like the troll, but you do not need to jump to hit it. If you sidestep when the bat lunges and fire sideways at its face you can defeat one easily. When defeated a bat will drop a potion that will restore some or all of your MP. DUNGEONS In the dungeons you will face ghosts, guards, twisters, blobs and gates. All of these enemies (except the gates) appear in green, blue, red, and white, green being the weakest and white being the strongest. Ghosts - Whether slow or fast, the ghosts continue in one direction until they hit you or some other object, they then change direction and continue until they hit something else. Fairly easy to avoid, just hit them quickly. Guards - Very annoying, these guards are armoured, which means that your shots do NO damage to them if you hit them from the font or the side. You can only damage them by hitting them in the back. They do walk quite slowly though so you shouldn't have too much trouble getting behind them, just watch out for when they turn around. Also you can use the SLOW spell if you have it to make things easier. Twisters - Also annoying, these guys usually move quite fast, they have no set pattern, so therefore are best attacked from a distance. They do however stop to catch their breath for a few seconds every so often, which is a great time to attack them. Blobs - These guys are small enough that your shots go right over them, so the only time you can hit them is when they jump towards you, or jump straight up. That is their pattern, one jump towards you, and one jump straight up. Fairly easy to avoid, and hit, if you're quick you can get 2 hits every time they jump. Gates - These look like a locked door in the middle of a room, they are grey in color. Basically they rise for a second and come crashing down, and this pattern repeats. They vary in speed but the basic pattern is always the same. Your best bet is do push right up against them when they have already fallen, then dash through them as they rise. These CANNOT be destroyed, however they can sometimes be used as platforms to reach higher areas. ADVANCED TECHNIQUES: There are a few techniques that you will use many times in the game, for this reason you should master them early. North, East, South and West Jumps: Since you can only walk in the 4 directions between these (NE,NW,SE,SW) these jumps may seem impossible at first glance. However when I indicate that a N jump is needed for example, this is what I mean. You can jump NE for about a half square, then while in the air change your direction to NW. When you land you should be 1 square N of where you started, therefore you have completed a N jump. This same jump can be accomplished by jumping NW and changing to NE while in midair. Edge Jumps: This is a fairly simple concept, but is only learned through much repetition. In many cases I will instruct you to jump from the very edge of a block or platform. In many cases this is not required, but will make the jump easier. However in the later dungeons this is a must. You need to become familiar with how far you can walk to the edge of platforms without falling off. Once again, in the earlier dungeons if you overestimate, you will fall onto the floor. However in the later dungeons such a mistake will result in you falling to your death on spikes. A good rule of thumb is to look at your shadow and the top of the platform. Basically if your shadow is still on the surface of the platform then you will not fall off. However you will learn the limits yourself in time. Sliding Platforms: There are many platforms in the game that will cause you to slide in a particular direction when you stand on them. One way to stop this temporarily is to walk in the opposite direction. This will make you walk on the spot. A better way to get around these surfaces is to jump repeatedly, the blocks cannot affect you while you are in the air. Falling Blocks: Later in the game there are blocks that do not move, but when you jump on them they fall to the ground. Once you get off of them they rise to their original position. The best way to get around these is to jump into the air as soon as you land on them. This way they will only sink a little bit, while you are in the air you can try to land on the edge of the block. Then when you land quickly jump off the block. Disappearing Blocks: Later in the game there are blocks that do not move, but when you jump on them they flash briefly, and then vanish. Unlike the falling blocks mentioned above you do not need to jump like a madman. Instead just walk as close to the edge of the block as you can and jump off of it as it vanishes beneath you. ============== ---THE GAME--- ============== *NOTE* I will describe the layout of each room and the strategy for it individually. I will also tell you which rooms and tasks to do in what order for the dungeon. As the game is played in a 3/4 view the directions up/down/left/right aren't very helpful so I will use NorthEast/NorthWest/SouthEast/SouthWest, (NE/NW/SE/SW). If you are ever lost you can press select to find the room number then consult my room listing for that dungeon. The format is as follows: ROOM NUMBER (Items found in room) [where the doors lead] Description of room layout, and solution to the puzzle in the room if any. *NOTE* When you destroy all enemies in a room and collect all items in that room those enemies will never return. However if you kill some enemies and return to the room later they will all be back. *NOTE* Whenever you need to save your game simply exit any dungeon through any of the ENTRANCE/EXIT rooms, just jump up the rope ladder. This will be your only way of saving the game, until you get the SAVE spell in dungeon 6 (Afralona). When you first start the game you should quickly proceed to 1 of the 3 entrances to the first dungeon, they look like tan domes with smoke coming out of them. Try to avoid any bats or trolls, as you have no weapon. Once you get inside an entrance, exit it t save your game. Now enter the entrance that leads to room 0E. =============================== DUNGEON 1 (Galadonia, 16 Rooms) =============================== WALKTHROUGH (Go to these rooms in this order) 0E(SW),07(NE),0E(NE),08(SW),0E(SE),09(NW),0E(NW),06(NW),05(SE), 06(SE),0E,EXIT. 0B(SW),0A(NE),0C(SW),0A(NE),0B,EXIT. 04(SW),03(NE),04(SE),05(NW),04(NE),00(SW),04(NW),02(NE),01. ROOM DESCRIPTIONS 00 (Spell) [SW-04] Pick up the HEAL spell and leave. 01 BOSS [SW-02] Kill the boss. (Strategy below) 02 [NE-01,SE-04] Walk clockwise around the spikes, when you have enough distance turn around, fire a shot and keep walking around. Repeat until the ghosts are dead. 03 (3 Tokens) [NE-04] Kill the ghosts and use the table to get up to the tokens. 04 ENTRANCE/EXIT [NE-00,NW-02,SE-05,SW-03] Kill the ghosts to open the NE door. 05 (2 Apples, 2 Tokens) [NW-04,SE-06] Grab one apple and token then leave. 06 (Token) [NW-05,SE-0E] Kill the ghosts and get the token. 07 (Weapon) [NE-0E] In this room you will find 2 G. Ghosts circling a KNIFE, pick up the knife, and use your first weapon to kill the ghosts. This will open the flashing door. *NOTE* By killing all enemies in a room and picking up all items most flashing doors will open. 08 (4 Tokens) [NE-0F,SW-0E] This is an easy one, just pick up all 4 tokens while walking around the spikes. 09 (Token) [NW-0E] Basically avoid the ghosts and jump up to the token. 0A (Token, Apple) [NE-0B/0C,SW-0F] Kill the ghosts and collect the items. 0B ENTRANCE/EXIT [NE-0D,NW-0C,SW-0A] Better kill those ghosts. 0C (W. Key, Apple) [NE-0D,SE-0B,SW-0A] Grab the W. Key if coming from 0A, kill the ghosts if coming from 0B for an apple. 0D (4 G. Potions) [SW-0C] Kill/avoid the ghost and get as many potions as you need. 0E ENTRANCE/EXIT [NE-08,NW-06,SE-09,SW-07] Kill those ghosts. 0F (2 Apples) [NE-0F,SW-08] All you can do here is grab 1 apple then return to the previous room. BOSS (Bonehead) This guy has a pretty basic pattern, he will go SE, then do a quick SW lunge/retreat, then NW, He will do quick loop and then he will send 2 G. Ghosts after you, kill them and his pattern repeats. As he takes damage he will start to turn red, and move faster. You can damage him with your weapon only when you can see the pupils in his eye sockets. Once you defeat him you will get 1 string of 5 for your harp, your total health will increase by 1 HP, and your total magic will increase by 1 MP, you will also get access to dungeon 2 on the overworld. Now if you haven't done so already go defeat a troll with your new weapon to get an extra HP for your health meter. Then you can proceed SE (if you haven't rotated the map) across the bridge that DOESN'T have a white cloud with eyes on it, and into the section of the overworld above dungeon 2. This dungeon has 4 entrances, we will start with the one that leads to room 18. ========================== DUNGEON 2 (Tori, 34 rooms) ========================== WALKTHROUGH (Go to these rooms in this order) 18(NE),19(NE),1A(SW),19(SW),18(NW),0F(SW),0E(SW),0D(SE),16(NE), 17(NE),18,EXIT. 07(NE),08(SW),07,EXIT. 04(NE),05(SW),04(SW),03(SW),02(NE),0A(NE),0B(SW),0A(SE),12(NE), 13(SW),12(SW),11(SW),10(NE),11(NE),12(SE),1B(NE),1C(NE),1D(SW), 1C(SW),1B(NW),12,EXIT. 18(SE),21(SW),20(SW),1F(NW),1E(NW),15. ROOM DESCRIPTIONS 00 [NE-01,SE-04] If coming from 01 push the block SW to get up the wall. 01 (Apple) [SE-07,SW-00] Kill the guard for the apple. If coming from 00 push the SE block of the 3 to get up onto the wall. 02 (Token) [NE-03,SE-0A] Jump to the top of the stairs and fire NE while jumping straight up to kill most of the ghosts, then jump up to their platform to finish them off. 03 (Token) [NE-04,SW-02] Kill the ghosts to get the token and open the SW door. 04 ENTRANCE/EXIT (Token) [NE-05,NW-00,SE-0C,SW-03] Kill the guard to get the token and open the SE door. 05 (G. Key) [NE-06,SW-04] Kill the guards to open the NE door and get the key. Try going to the SE end of the wall, and jumping up to the platform, taking one shot at the guard then dropping down. Repeat this until the guard dies, then the rest are easier. *NOTE* Easier with either the 2nd spell or weapon. 06 [NE-07,SW-05] Run through the middle two gates after their first crash. 07 ENTRANCE/EXIT [NE-08,NW-01,SE-0D,SW-06] Push the centre block towards any door and use it to jump the spikes. 08 (G. Key) [NE-09,SW-07] Here there are 2 R. Ghosts trapped between 4 gates. If you do not have the SLOW spell yet or the SHURIKENS, avoid this room. Once you have either these ghosts should be no problem. When both are dead, the key appears. 09 [SE-0F,SW-08] 2 Gates are here so watch your head, basically work your way through the spikes towards the door on the other side. 0A (Token) [NE-0B,NW-02,SE-12] Kill the ghost to get the token. *NOTE* 0B is reached by going NE through the hidden door between the 2 gates. 0B (Spell) [NE-0C,SW-0A] Get the SLOW spell to open the doors. 0C (3 Potions, G/B/R) [NW-04,SE-14,SW-0B] You can get the potions if coming from 0B otherwise just avoid the gates. 0D (Token) [NE-0E,NW-07,SE-16] Kill the ghost to get the token, and beware of the gates. 0E (Weapon) [NE-0F,SW-0D] This room contains your new weapon the SHURIKENS, once you have them both doors open. 0F (Token) [NW-09,SE-18,SW-0E] There are 5 guards here, 3 red and 2 blue. Try to kill the blue ones first that aren't on the centre platform, then kill the red that is on the floor. Now you can just fire at the 2 reds on the platform from the floor where they can't hit you. Once they are all dead the token is yours, and the NW door will open. *NOTE* Room 0E is reached by going to the SW corner of the room and walking SW through a hidden door. 10 (W. Key) [NE-11] Push the 3 blocks SW about one square, then walk around the room to the other side of the 3 blocks and jump up to the key. 11 [NE-12,SW-10] Kill the ghosts to open the SW door. 12 ENTRANCE/EXIT [NE-13,NW-0A,SE-1B,SW-11] Push the SE block to get to the exit. 13 (Token) [NE-14,SW-12] Kill the trapped ghost to get the token and open the NE door. 14 [NW-0C,SW-13] If you need help in here I don't know how you made it this far... 15 BOSS [SE-1E] Kill the boss. (Strategy below) 16 (2 G. Potions) [NE-17,NW-0D] Jump the platforms and get the potions if you need them. 17 (Token) [NE-18,SW-16] There are 5 Guards here, 3 green and 2 blue. Kill the green first, then the blue, this is easiest once you have defeated one, simply hug the SW wall and fire NE at them. Once all are dead the token will appear, and the SW door will open. 18 ENTRANCE/EXIT (G. Key) [NE-19,NW-0F,SE-21,SW-17] Jump as high as you can on the stack of blocks, the top block that you are now standing on can be pushed SE, and then used to jump towards the key. 19 [NE-1A,SW-18] Kill the two guards to open the NE door. 1A (W. Key) [SW-19] Move to the extreme SE corner of the room, the block NE of you can be pushed NE one square, then locate the block that is 2 squares NW of where the 1st block was. This block can be pushed SE 2 squares, then pushed NE against the first block until you can use both blocks as a platform to get to the key on the other side. 1B (Token) [NE-1C,NW-12] Kill the two ghosts to get the token and open the NE door. 1C (Token) [NE-1D,SW-1B] Kill the 5 guards for the token. 1D (B. Key) [NE-1F,NW-1E,SW-1C] Push the SW-most block NE to reach the key. 1E [NW-15,SE-1D/1F] Avoid the spikes. 1F (R. Key, Token) [NE-20,NW-1E,SW-1D] Jump up the blocks to get the key and token. 20 [NE-21,SW-1F] Kill the 3 ghosts to open the NE door. 21 (Token) [NW-18,SW-20] Kill the 2 guards to get the token, and watch out for the gates. *NOTE* This room is easier if you have the SHURIKENS, or the SLOW spell. BOSS (Sung-sung) Basically this boss alternates between throwing 3-6 rocks out at you while moving with you, and moving around the perimeter of the room. He is not that hard to avoid, and like the first boss he can only be hit when you can see his pupils. This time however you have to jump and fire, to hit him. You can also see where he is going to appear next by watching the ground for a large moving bump. As he takes damage he will turn red, and eventually die. When you win it's the standard drill, HP/MP +1 and 1 more harp string. Go beat a troll with your SHURIKEN if you haven't already, and go back to the part of the overworld where the first dungeon was located. Now cross the other bridge into the third overworld area. This dungeon has 4 entrances, we will start with the one that leads to room 29. =========================== DUNGEON 3 (Deeso, 44 rooms) =========================== WALKTHROUGH (Go to these rooms in this order) 29(SE),2A(SW),2B(SW),2C(NE),2B(NE),2A(NW),29(NW),24(SW),22(SW), 23(NE),22(NE),24(NW),25(SW),20(SW),1E(NW),16(SE),1E(SW),1D(NW), 15(SW),14(SW),13(SW),12(NE),13(NW),11(NW),0D(NW),08(SE),0E(NW), 09(SE),0E(NE),0A(SE),0F(NE),0B(SE),17(NE),0C(SE),1F(NW),0C(SW), 17(NW),0B(SW),0F(SW),10,EXIT. 1B(SE),1C(NW),1B(NE),1A(NW),19(NW),18(SE),19(SE),1A(SW),1B,EXIT. 02(SW),01(SE),05(NE),06(NW),03(SW),02,EXIT. 29(NW),26(NE),27(NE),28. ROOM DESCRIPTIONS 00 [SE-03,SW-02] Here you learn about surfaces that make you slide in one direction, nothing more. 01 (Token) [NE-02,SE-05] As soon as you enter (from 02) run SW and jump onto the platform, then walk NW a little, so that the block falls on your head. If you mess it up exit the room, re-enter, and try again. Once you have the block on your head walk SE and NE a little, while staying on the platform. Then walk NW so that you walk under the platforms above but the block on your head falls onto the platform that you were on. Now you can jump onto it and use it to get up to the other platforms. Once up, kill the ghost, and go to the NW end of the platforms and keep jumping SW until you reach the token. *NOTE* To stop yourself from sliding off blocks like the ones in this room simply hold the opposite direction on your controller, so that you walk against the push. You can even jump into the air, change your position and stop the push again when you land. This is good for setting up jumps on sliding blocks. 02 ENTRANCE/EXIT (Apple, G. Potion) [NE-00/03,SW-01] Jump to either item from the exit. To get back to the exit jump on the SE platform, then jump NE then NW quickly to get to another platform, then NW to the exit. 03 (Token, W. Potion) [NE-04,NW-00,SE-06,SW-02] When coming from 00, kill the first ghost then jump to the token. Then jump SW over the spikes and kill the other ghost for the potion. 04 (Apple) [SE-07,SW-03] Kill the ghost for the apple. 05 (Apple) [NW-01,NE-06] Kill the twister for the apple. 06 (Apple) [NE-07,NW-03,SW-05] Kill the ghost for the apple. 07 (Apple) [NE-08,NW-04,SE-12,SW-06] Walk to the SW most tower, and you can push the top two blocks to get up to the apple. 08 [SE-0D/0E,SW-07] Just don't panic and jump, and you'll do fine. 09 (W. Key) [SE-0E] Jump to the statue by the door, from here jump NW up another block. Go to the NW edge and jump SW to another block. From here jump N twice, then jump NW to another block. Walk NW one square, and walk to the NW edge, jump SW to another block. Walk to the NW edge and jump SW, then again walk to the SW edge, now jump NE 3 times. Jump SE once, now jump NE twice, then get the key. 0A [SE-0F,SW-0E] Avoid the temptation to hurl yourself at the spikes. 0B (W. Key) [SE-17,SW-0F] Push the middle block NE, once it stops moving, push it SE about half a square, and then jump back up to the other two blocks. Go to the square just SW of where the middle block was when you entered the room. (This is point A) Walk to the NW edge of this square and push the left block NE. When it stops go to the NW side of it and jump/push it SE, try not to push the block beneath it though. Once the top block is against the wall use the little staircase to get back to point A. This time go to the SE edge of the square and push the right block NE. Now use this tower to get to the key. 0C (W. Key) [SE-1F,SW-17] Walk under the gates and up the staircase. Now go to the NW edge of the bridge and walk NE. Keep walking NE until you reach the other side, if you were far enough NW at the beginning you'll make it to the key without a problem. Then to get back walk SW, after going on the SE edge of the bridge. 0D (W. Key) [NW-08,SE-11] Enter from room 11 to get the key. 0E (Token, R. Potion) [NE-0A,NW-08/09,SE-10] Right by the NE door is a block that you can jump on. Then jump SE to another block, then SE again, then SW. Walk SE 2 blocks, then jump SW 3 times. Move NW 3 blocks (This is point A) then jump NE twice for the token. If you want the potion, then from point A move NW 3 blocks, jump NE, NW, and then NE 3 times for the potion. 0F (Apple, G. Potion) [NE-0B,NW-0A,SE-15,SW-10] Walk across the bridge for the apple, walk under for the potion. 10 ENTRANCE/EXIT (Apple) [NE-0F,NW-0E,SE-14] Kill the ghosts for the apple. 11 (Apple) [NW-0D,SE-13] Kill the ghost for the apple. When you enter, move under the falling block to get it on your head. Then push SE against the gate to position it on your head. Now push NE against the gate until it rises, then run under it and to safety. Now push the block against the SW wall and push it from there to cross the spikes. 12 (Token) [NE-13,NW-07,SE-18] Kill the twister because you can, then push the block by the NE door NW to reach the token. 13 (Token) [NE-14,NW-11,SW-12] Climb to the top of the staircase, and wait for the moving block to appear on your SE side. Then follow it as it passes, and push it NW as it travels NE up the other side. Keep pushing it until it falls off, if it doesn't fall by the time it hits the wall then you have to try again. You can also wait for the block at the NE end of the loop and hold NW. Once the block is in front of you keep holding NW and jump repeatedly. This will also force the block onto the floor. This is tough to do but must be done to complete the dungeon so keep at it. Once the block has fallen, push it towards the token in the W corner and jump up to it. 14 (Token) [NE-15,NW-10,SW-13] After killing the ghost, push the NW block into the NW corner and jump on it. Jump SW towards another block, push it off its platform and into the SW corner, and then jump on it. Run NE under the gate, jump onto the NE corner platform, then walk to the NW edge of it and face the gate. Jump on top of the gate when it falls, then wait for it to carry you up, and jump to the token. 1D [NE-1E,NW-15,SE-22] As soon as you enter the room, go to the S corner of the room, the block will then fall on your head. Then walk NE up to the spikes, then walk around them until you are 1 square SE of the N corner of the room. Walk NW into that corner and the block will fall behind you, you can then jump on in to cross the spikes and reach the door. *NOTE* The door to room 1E is NE of the platform near the door to room 22. 1E (W. Potion) [NE-20,NW-16,SW-1D] That potion is mocking you, show it who's boss by pounding it into the ground. 1F (Token) [NW-0C] Push the green block SW until you can just fit in a gap between the block and the ledge NE behind you. Stay here and fire NW until all the ghosts are dead. Then you can keep pushing the block and get the token. 20 (Token) [NE-25,SW-1E] From the N corner go south 1-2 squares, you should hit a block that you can't see, jump onto it. From here keep jumping S, up the invisible staircase to the token. 21 [???] **I don't know where this room is, if someone finds it let me know!** 22 (R. It only gets tough when one block is left because there are 4 posts sticking out that can hit you if you're not careful. When you win it's the standard drill, HP/MP +1 and 1 more harp string. Go beat a troll with your AXE if you haven't already. Then head back to the dungeon 2 overworld, from here you can cross to the dungeon 4 overworld. (Strategy below) Boss (Pincha) This crab can be annoying because his claws block your shots, this means that you can only hit him when he stops moving and tries to take swings at you. Fire in his eyes when this happens, like all bosses he turns red as he takes damage. Both eyes have their own health and you must destroy both to kill him. Once one is dead the other one won't be too far away. His pattern involves him circling the room, lunging at you, taking a few slow swipes, and taking some faster ones, then circling again. (Maybe not in that order) You will figure it out pretty quickly and judge when to attack and when to run. When dead you will get 1 more HP/MP for your meters, and a harp string. After the next dungeon you can play a killer tune on that thing, so be patient. From here jump to the next moving block and ride it to the block in the W corner, jump to it. Walk SE off to the last moving block and jump SE to the token, but beware of the gate. 21 (Apple) [NW-1E,SW-20] Work your way around the room to the apple. 22 (Weapon) [NW-20] Jump onto the moving platform and walk to the S edge of it. Jump SW to the next platform, now beware of the VERY tricky N slide that this platform has. Jump SW to the next platform, which is no better, this one has a W slide to it. Jump NW to the next platform and take a break. From here you can jump NE to the SWORD. 23 ENTRANCE/EXIT (Apple) [NE-30,SE-26] If you can see the apple you'll figure out how to get it. Push the N block SW to the wall, then SE to the other wall, now jump up to the moving block and up to the entrance. 24 [NE-3E,SW-1F] Don't you wish the gates would do your job for you? Well too bad, kill the ghosts. 25 (Token) [NE-26,SE-3E] First thing's first, DO NOT kill the ghost. Then climb the stairs, push the block NW until it's almost over the edge. Now push it so that it lands on the ghost's head as it passes by. After that jump on the block and ride it to the token. *NOTE* The timing on this is difficult so expect to be doing this room many times. 26 [NW-23,SW-25] Avoid the blocks and spikes. 27 (Apple) [NE-28,SE-2A/2B] The block that doesn't have the apple on it can be pushed. Now go to the S corner and kill the ghost, then jump to the key. 37 (G. Key) [SE-3B] Kill the twister, then jump on the flower in the E corner. From the SW edge, jump NW to the moving platform. Wait for it, then jump NW to the key. 38 (R. Key) [SE-3C] Kill the blob, avoid the gate, and jump to the key. 39 (Apple) [NW-33,SE-3C] Kill the blob, then jump onto the block in the E corner. Now keep jumping NW across the moving blocks until you reach the apple. 3A [NE-3B,NW-34] Kill those blobs, and avoid the spikes. 3B (W. Potion) [NE-3C,NW-37,SW-3A] Jump from the flowers to the ledge with the ghost and quickly jump to the flower on that ledge. From here you can shoot the ghost easily, kill them both for the potion. *NOTE* the NW door is just below the gate on the NW wall. 3C (B. Potion) [NW-39/38,SE-3D,SW-3B] If you really need the potion you can risk the jumping to get it. *NOTE* the other NW door is in the W corner above the spikes on the NW wall. 3D (Token) [NW-3C,SE-0B] Jump/push the block NW a little then jump on it. From here jump NW to the next block and ride it NE, where you jump SE to the token. 3E (Apple) [NW-25,SW-24] Climb the stairs at the NE end of the room, push the block to the SE edge, but not over. Jump on it and jump SW to the next block, and go to the apple and exit. BOSS (Dollop) This giant slime boss is one of my favourites, his pattern is not too tough. Basically he hops in a circle around the room, then once complete he sends 2 blobs out for you to kill before the battle resumes. (Much like Bonehead, the dungeon 1 boss) His size makes it a little difficult to hit him. However you can hit him when his eyes are open, by jumping and firing in the air. You can tell when he is almost dead, because he will be red instead of purple, and the blobs that he sends out will be blue instead of green. Once defeated you get your usual HP/MP +1, and the last string for your harp! Go and beat a troll with your SWORD if you haven't already. Also try your harp out while standing on any of the grey squares with crosses on them to teleport to another. Head back to overworld 1 and you should see one of these teleporters on an island, jump to it and use it. You are now in overworld 6. Jump from it to the token, then back to it, then to safety. 20 (Apple) [NW-1C,SW-1F] ZAP the ghost and grab the apple. 21 (W. Key) [NE-22,NW-1D] Jump on the ball that is on the ground, from here push the stacked ball NE just a little bit, then go to the other side of it, and jump/push it SW until it rests on the ball that you were standing on. Now push this stacked ball SE until it is about to fall off the ball below it. Now push this stack SW until it hits the wall. Jump on the bottom ball and push the top one SE onto the spikes. Now you can grab the key and safely jump out. 22 ENTRANCE/EXIT [NE-23,NW-1E,SE-26,SW-21] Hah, those blocks look like upside-down pyramids. What kind of world is this? 23 (Apple) [NE-24,NW-1F,SW-22] Jump onto the jar, and jump NW 2X, then kill the guard for the apple. 24 (Apple) [NE-40,SW-23] Kill the guards for the apple. 25 (Token, Apple, G. Potion) [NE-26] From the door go NW 1 square, then SW 1 square, jump NW on to the block. From here jump NE onto the next block, then jump SE to the next. Now jump SW to the bridge and walk to the end and jump to the token. From the token walk NE to get the potion. At the NW wall jump on the block, then jump NW, NE, and SE to get the apple. 26 (G. Key, G. Potion) [NE-27,NW-22,SW-25] Grab the potion, push the ball to the SE wall. Jump from it to the ball in the E corner. It will carry you toward the key, when closest to it, jump to it. *NOTE* The SW door is right by the block on the SW wall. 27 (B. Key) [SW-26] Jump around to the guards, kill them, and then grab the key. 28 [NE-29,SE-1A] Kill the ghost to open the door. 29 (Token) [NE-2A,SW-28] Push the top ball in the SW end of the room to the N edge of the ball beneath it. Then push it NE off, and push it NW towards the spikes, make sure that you don't push it right up against the spikes, leave about half a square's space between the ball and the spikes. Go to the other ball stack at the NE end of the room. Jump/push the top ball to the NW edge of the ball beneath it. Now push the bottom ball NW against the spikes. Jump on it, and push the top ball onto the spikes, it will slide until it lands on the first ball that you pushed. Now push this new ball stack from the bottom, SW towards the token. Finally use it as a staircase to get the token. 2A (B. The ball will start to rise, then you can get to the token. 3C [NW-39,SE-42] Walk along the path through the spikes. 3D (R. Potion) [NE-47,NW-44] The second block from the W corner can be pushed, use it to get the items. 47 [NE-48,NW-45,SW-46] Jump on the platform, and ride it to the next platform. Wait for the next one and jump to it, ride it to the other side. When coming back there is a hidden platform just SW of the non-moving one. 48 (Token) [SE-49,SW-47] Kill the twister, then jump over the spikes. Go to the square just S of the token, then jump N to the token. 49 (Apple) [NW-48,SE-0D] Kill the ghosts for the apple. 4A [NW-3E,SW-3D] Kill the guards to open the NW door. BOSS (Eyesis) This pyramid boss is one of my favourites. Basically he spins in the centre of the rooms and sends boulders out in 4 directions. After this he does a tight loop around the room. Then the pattern repeats, he alternates between slow loops and fast loops so be careful of this. Like most bosses you can only hurt him by firing while at the height of a jump. Once defeated, you will get your standard HP/MP +1. Go beat a troll with your SCIMITAR if you haven't already. Now go to the entrance that leads to room 44. And head to room 14 (44,45,47,48,49,0D,0E,14), from here exit. Walk to the teleporter and use it. ROOM DESCRIPTIONS 00 [NE-03,NW-20] This room is VERY tough, jump on the block in the E corner. From here you must jump NW across 3 blocks. However these blocks rise when you land on them and there are spikes above them. This means that you can't wait on any block for very long, also when jumping to the next block you can't jump very far or you will hit the spike. Try to figure out a pattern on your own, this might be a good room to SAVE before attempting. 01 (Token) [SE-04] As soon as you enter the room run to the spot beside the token and let the barrel land on your head. Now go to the S corner and walk against both sides of it. This gets the barrel in the right position on your head. Now walk to the square at the W end of the spikes, walk NW against the box, now walk SW until you hit the wall. If done right your barrel should have fallen on the upper ledge of boxes and will now be sliding toward the token. The barrel will push the token off the ledge where you can now pick it up. 02 (???) [???] **I don't know where this room is, if someone finds it let me know!** 03 (Token) [SE-05,SW-00] DO NOT Kill the ghost, jump on the box in the S corner. From here jump NW twice, then NE once to get to the platform with the two barrels. From here push the one closest to you NW, you can then get between that barrel and the one above it. Keep pushing the one that you started until it is almost over the edge. This is the tough part, you must push the block over the edge so that it lands on the ghost's head. Once that is done you can easily jump on it, and jump to the token. 04 (B. Potion) [NW-01,SE-07] ZAP the ghosts then grab the potion. 05 (W. Potion, W. Apple) [NW-03,SE-08] Jump onto the block in the E corner, then before you hit the spike, jump NW to the next block. From here jump SW/NW to the next block, then jump over the spikes, and grab the items. 06 ENTRANCE (G. Apple, G. Potion) [NE-0A] Grab the items. 07 (B. Apple) [NW-04,SE-0A] Jump onto the first block and go to the SW edge of it, then jump NW to the second block. Now jump NW onto the third block and as soon as you land jump NW again to the edge of the block. If done right the block will not fall on your first landing, but will on your second. When you land at the edge on your second jump, immediately jump NW to the barrel across the spikes. From here you can go NW to room 04, or push the barrel to reach the apple. 08 (B. Potion) [NW-05,SE-0B] Brave the barrel gauntlet (run through when the first one is heading NE and hope for the best), then grab the potion. 09 (Token) [SE-12] Kill the ghosts, then push the box NW against the spikes. Jump NW from it, then jump NE twice quickly to get the token. 0A (G. Apple) [NW-07,SE-0D,SW-06] Kill the guard for the apple. 0B (G. Apple) [NW-08,SE-11] Kill the ghost to get the barrel in place. Jump across then jump to the apple. 0C (Token) [NE-13] Jump on to the block pile, push both blocks SW until they fall, then jump on them. When close to the spikes jump them, then when the boxes stop in the W corner jump on them. Now jump NE (this box will fall) then jump NE again (this one too) and quickly SE. From here you can jump to the token, and over the spikes again. 0D (G. Potion) [NE-0E,NW-0A] Jump SE from the block to the next block. Jump NE one square, from here jump the spikes and grab the potion. 0E [SE-13,SW-0D] Jump NE onto a barrel, then SE onto a box. 0F (Token) [SE-14] For the first step in this room you need speed. Wait at the door to this room in room 14, then Run NW halfway across this room, then SW and jump on the box. Then jump NW to the ledge before the box pushes you off. From here you can ZAP the ghost, avoid the gate, and jump to the token. 10 (B. Potion) [NE-11,SE-15] Jump the barrels and kill the guard for the potion. 11 (W. Apple) [NW-0B,SW-10] Kill the twisters for the apple. 12 (R. Apple) [NW-09,SW-15] Jump onto the boxes, jump/push the top one NW until it's at the edge of the now moving block that you are on. Push it NW onto the spikes, then jump on it and ride it to the apple, jump NW to it. 13 [NE-14,NW-0E,SW-0C] Walk SE one square, then kill the ghosts. 14 (W. Apple) [NE-15,NW-0F,SW-13] Kill the twisters for the apple. 15 (W. Potion, B. Apple) [NE-12,NW-10,SW-14] Grab the potion and kill the guards for the apple. Jump up the staircase and jump NE to the moving box to get across. 16 BOSS [SE-1E] Kill the boss. (Strategy below) 17 (2 W. Apples) [NE-18,NW-40] Grab the one apple, then wait on the barrel in the corner to get across to the other. 18 [NE-19,SW-17] Kill the ghost and pick a door. 19 (Token) [SE-18,SW-1D] As soon as you enter jump SW and get under the box that is falling. Once it is on your head go to the NW end of the boxes. The box will rise, when high enough walk SW onto the next ledge. From here go to the SE edge of the platforms and walk SW to get the box off your head. Now jump on your box and jump SE to the token. 1A (Token) [SE-1F] This room is easy as long as you're fast, the whole room has a N slide to it. As soon as you enter jump NW a square and start jumping NW towards the box. Then jump on the box and hold NW to stop the slide, the token will come to you. 1B [NE-1C,SW-1F] Jump NW from the start, slide to the spike, where you do a W jump. Now slide to the next spike where you do two SE jumps. Then kill the ghost and exit. 1C (W. Apple) [NW-46,SW-1B] Jump on the first hidden box next to the barrel wall. Then jump NE to the next hidden block, now get the apple, and kill the ghost. 1D [NE-1E,NW-19] Kill the ghost, then from the boxes jump onto the gate when it falls to get across. Now jump NW down the boxes to the other end, then go to the NW door. 1E (W. Apple) [NE-1F,NW-16,SW-1D] Jump on the first block and walk SW to the next. The next part takes careful timing, when the third gate is rising shortly after the second you should jump on the block and run SW until you hit the fourth gate. Then you can just run under it when it's safe and take the SW door. You can also go NW at the second and third gates to get to the NW door. Kill the guard for the apple. 1F (W. Potion) [NE-1B,NW-1A,SW-1E] Kill the guards then fall into the middle of the barrel stack for the potion. 20 (R. Apple, W. Apple, R. Potion, W. Potion) [NW-00,SE-21] Grab the items and celebrate passing room 00. 21 (B. Potion) [NW-20,SE-22/24] Jump on the box in the W corner, then jump NE twice. Time your next jump so that you can jump NE on to the box then quickly NE off of it to the moving box, because it will fall. From the moving box just wait until the next block is close then jump to it, and then jump to the potion. *NOTE* the SE door to room 24 is in the E corner of the room. 22 (W. Apple) [NW-21,NE-23,SE-25] Kill the twister for the apple. *NOTE* the NE door is at the window on the NE wall. 23 (Token) [SW-22] Jump from the W corner N to a hidden box, then from the SE edge of it jump NE to another hidden box. From here jump SE to the third hidden box. Then jump to the token and work your way back. 24 (W. Key) [NW-21] Jump on the box when you enter, then jump SE to a hidden box. Jump over the spikes and kill the twister. Now jump/push the top box to the NE edge of the stack. Jump/push the box slightly NW, barely move it. Now push it NW off the box, it should land on the spikes. Now you can push it NE until it is close enough to the upper ledge for you to jump to it. Now you can jump from the ledge to the key, though watch out for the slide. 25 (B. Potion) [NW-22,NE-26,SE-2B] If you need the potion it's all about speed, you must be coming from room 26 to get it. As soon as you enter run NE to the block and jump on it, then jump on the next block, then quickly jump again and jump NW to the ledge, because the block falls. You have no time to lose, run SW and jump from the top block to the potion before if falls onto the spikes. You will also need to go through all this when you go through the white door. Just jump SE from the platform where the potion was. 26 (B. Apple) [NE-27,SW-25] Jump on the block and wait for the guard to walk under the gate, then kill it for the apple. 27 [NE-28,SW-26] Avoid the spikes, enough said. 28 (G. Potion) [SW-27/2A] Jump on the block SE of the door, then jump NW to the moving block. Jump NE to the next block, then NE again to the bridge. Kill the ghost then go to the SE end of the ledge and jump SW down to the potion. 29 (R. Key) [NE-2A] Jump on the W block and wait for it to rise. Now jump SE onto a hidden block, then jump to the key. 2A (G. Apple) [NE-28,SE-2F,SW-29] Kill the ghost for the apple. 2B (Token) [NW-25] Push the top box NE to the barrel stack, then push the top barrel onto the box. Now push your stack W to the other barrel stack. Then push the barrel SE onto your stack, now you can jump/push your top 2 barrels NE half a square. Then jump on the bottom one and jump/push the top one NE half a square. Now that your staircase is complete you can push it to the token which is at the NE end of the room. 2C (B. Apple) [NE-2D/2E,SE-32] Kill the guards for the apple. 2D (G. Apple) [NE-2F,SW-2C] Jump from the box to the apple. Re-enter the room, and let the NW block land on your head. Now go just NE of the floating platform and walk SW until the block on you head is about half a square off. Now push the other block NW so that half of it is NE of the apple platform. Now walk NW under the platform, against the edge of the box NE of you, the block on your head should fall on that block creating a mini-staircase. Now in the N corner push the stairs to the SE wall. Jump on the bottom box, and push the other one SW onto the spikes. Now you can use it to get across. 2E (G. Potion) [NE-2F,SW-2C] Jump from the box to the potion. Re-enter the room, and let the SE block land on your head. Now go just SW of the floating platform and walk NE until the block on you head is about half a square off. Now push the other block SE so that half of it is SW of the apple platform. Now walk SE under the platform, against the edge of the box SW of you, the block on your head should fall on that block creating a mini- staircase. Now in the S corner push the stairs to the NW wall. Jump on the bottom box, and push the other one NE onto the spikes. Now you can use it to get across. 2F (B. Potion) [NW-2A,SW-2D/2E] Kill the guards for the potion. 30 (Token) [SE-33] Walk NW to the staircase of boxes, push the barrel at the top to the SE edge. Jump on it, then jump NE to the token. 31 (B. Apple) [NE-32,SE-34] Kill the guards for the apple. 32 [NW-2C,SW-31] Kill the guards and look at the barrels. 33 (G. Apple) [NW-30,SE-3A] When you enter go SW and let the block land on your head. Now push the other block NE a quarter square. Now walk around it and towards the SE wall. Now go NW a little bit and start to walk towards the NE wall the block on your head should fall on the other block. Now create a staircase and push it NE to the other blocks. Jump on them to the other side where you can get the apple. 34 [NE-35,NW-31,SE-3B] Jump on the box, go to the SE edge of it. Jump SW to the next box and quickly jump SE across the spikes, because the box falls. 35 [NE-36/37,SW-34] Kill the guard, behind him is the door to room WEAPON. *NOTE* The NE door to room 37 is behind the wall of boxes, just push the one that is against the SE wall NE. 36 (Weapon) [SW-35] Jump on the box in the S corner, go to the NW edge of it. From here jump NE to the next box then NW quickly to the next box, jump in the air here. (These two blocks fall) Finally jump SW to your seventh weapon, the MACE. 37 (G. Key) [NE-39,SW-35] Jump up the staircase of boxes and push the barrel NW onto the moving barrel. Now jump on it, then ride it to the key. 38 (Spell) [NE-39] Go to the S corner then jump/push the barrel NW enough for you to stand beside it. Wait for the ghost to break free of its cage, then drop into it (W corner) and jump/push the barrel SE until it is on the edge. Now push it onto the ghost's head, jump on it, and jump to your seventh spell, REVEAL. 39 (G. Apple) [NE-3A,SW-37/38] Kill the ghosts for the apple. *NOTE* The door to room 38 is SW of the N-most spike. 3A (B. Potion) [NW-33,SE-3F,SW-39] Jump onto the box to get to any door. Kill the guard for the potion. 3B (G. Apple) [NE-3C,NW-34,SE-41] This whole room has a S slide to it so be careful. Make your way to the S corner first, because a box will be sliding there that will stop you from reaching the other side of the room if you wait too long. Kill the guard for the apple. *NOTE* the NE door is in the middle of the NE wall. 3C (B. Key) [SW-3B] This room is about speed, as soon as you enter jump NE onto the first box. Then quickly jump NE to the next box, now jump NE to a hidden box that is right after the platform with the key on it. From here you jump NW to the key. 3D (Token) [SE-43] Jump and kill the ghost to get the token. 3E (Token) [NE-3F] DO NOT kill the ghosts, push the barrel on the stack NE one square, and trap the ghost on the SE side when you do this. Now push the barrel SE until the ghost has 2 squares to move back and forth. Jump/push your barrel SW half a square, then jump on it. Now from the S edge of the barrel push the block on the ghost's head NE half a square. Jump onto it, then jump to the token. 3F (R. Apple, R. Potion) [NW-3A,SE-45,SW-3E] Kill the ghost and grab the goods. 40 [NE-41,NW-17] Wait for the first barrel to stop then jump on it. Then when the next barrel comes close jump NW twice to the other side. 41 (R. Potion) [NE-42,NW-3B,SW-40] Kill the twisters for the potion. 42 (G. Apple) [NE-43,SW-41] Kill the ghosts for the apple. 43 (G. Apple, G. Potion) [NE-44,NW-3D,SW-42] Go NW from the NE door and jump on a hidden block. Jump across the spikes and jump onto the next block. When it rises jump to the items, then jump to the hidden NW door on the other side. 44 (R. Potion) [NE-45,SW-43] Jump SE to a hidden block then grab the potion. Jump SE to another hidden block, and SW to yet another, then jump to the door. 45 (R. BOSS (Billy Bones) This boss is a skeleton that rides the back of a giant cannon. You can only damage him by hitting him and not the cannon. (duh) When he first appears he will fire shots in all directions then travel in a circle around the room before returning to the centre. He then likes to go to different spots and fire at you. He is not too tough if you keep your distance and stay out of his line of fire. Once defeated, you will get your standard HP/MP +1. When you exit the dungeon you will be on an icy island. Potion) [NW-11,SE-13] Jump/push the SW part of the wall into a crude staircase, then kill the ghost. The potion will fall on the floor, once you pick it up the doors will open. 13 (R. Apple) [NW-12,SE-14] Kill the guards for the apple, then jump up the stack and walk toward the other side over a hidden block. 14 (Token) [NW-13,SW-15] Jump on the block in the S corner, then jump quickly across the falling blocks to the token, this will open the doors. 15 [NE-14,SW-16] Jump to the hidden block in the S corner, then jump quickly across the spikes to the other side. This is because the two over the spikes will vanish when you land on them. 16 [NE-15,SW-17] Kill the guards to open the doors. 17 (W. Apple) [NE-16,SE-35,SW-18] Kill the blobs for the apple. 18 [NE-17,SW-19] Jump/push the W block until you can jump onto the bottom block, then jump/push the top block NW on to the floor. Now jump SE from this block to a hidden block. From here you can kill the guard to open the door. 19 [NE-18,SW-1A] Kill the ghosts to open the doors. 1A (Token) [NE-19,NW-1B] Jump on the block in the N corner, then ride it to the top where you jump SE onto a hidden block. Jump SE once more to reach a platform where you can kill a ghost and reach the token. 1B [NW-1C,SE-1A] Jump on a hidden block by the NE wall, then jump NW up to the ghost, and kill it to open the doors. 1C (R. Potion) [NW-1D,SE-1B] If you can see the potion then you can get to it. 1D [NW-1E,SE-1C,SW-47] Kill the ghosts to open the doors. 1E [NW-1F,SE-1D] Ride the S block up then jump E to a hidden block, from here jump NE until you reach the ghost, and kill it to open the doors. 1F (G. Potion) [NW-20,SE-1E] Kill the guards and grab all the items to open the NW door. 20 (Token) [NE-21,SE-1F] This is a cool puzzle, simply jump/push the top 3 parts of the pillar half a square. Then jump/push the top 2 half a square, repeat this until you have made a staircase. Now jump up it, and then jump back to the token. 21 (W. Apple) [NE-22,SW-20] Kill the twisters for the apple, each block has a difficult slide to it. 22 [NE-0B,SW-21] Ride the block up to the ghosts and kill them to open the door. 23 (B. Apple) [NW-24,SE-0B] Jump on the block and walk to the SW edge. Now jump NW across 3 vanishing blocks and over to the apple on the other side. 24 (W. Key) [NW-25,SE-23] The blocks in this room vanish, so jump on the first block and quickly jump NW, NE, SE, and NE to the key. 25 [NW-26,SE-24] Walk to the NE wall and jump NW to a hidden block. Now work your way towards the NW end of the room across a series of hidden blocks. These blocks alternate, one at the NE wall, then the next one at the SW wall, etc. 26 (W. Key) [NW-27,SE-25] Kill the ghosts and jump on the S most block against the SW wall. Now jump NE to the floating block, and jump N to the key. 27 (W. Apple) [NW-28,SE-26] Jump to the block, now jump NE across 3 falling blocks to the apple on the other side. 28 (W. Potion) [SE-27,SW-32] This is a TOUGH one, be sure to SAVE before you try it. You must jump NW across 4 falling blocks. Between each one you must jump to the SW edge of the block in order to make the next jump successfully. At the other side you will find the potion. 29 (B. Potion) [NW-2B,SE-2A,SW-34] Kill the blob for the potion. *NOTE* The SW door is beside the block near the SW wall. 2A (W. Key) [NW-29] Kill the blobs and jump up to the third block. The next one is a vanishing block so jump past it quickly to the key. 2B (R. Potion) [NW-2C,SE-29] Kill the ghost when it is a little less than one square away from the NW wall. Now push the block SW, then SE so that it is opposite the potion. Jump across to the potion. 2C (R. Apple) [NE-2D,SE-2B,SW-2E] Kill the twister for the apple. 2D (W. Key) [SW-2C] Kill the twisters and jump up to the third block. The next one is a falling block so jump past it quickly to the key. 2E (Token) [NE-2C,SW-2F] Kill the ghosts and wait for the 2 blocks to settle. Now use them to jump up to the token, it couldn't be easier. 2F (B. Potion) [NE-2E,NW-30,SE-31] Kill the guard for the potion. 30 (W. Key) [SE-2F] Kill the guards and jump up to the third block. The next one is a falling block so jump past it quickly to the key. 31 [NW-2F,SE-32] Jump on the block and jump/fire at the ghost NW of you. Once dead re- enter the room and jump from the moving block to the other side. 32 (B. Apple) [NE-28,NW-31,SW-33] Kill the ghost then jump from the vanishing block to the apple. 33 (W. Key) [NE-32] Kill the ghosts then jump up to the key. 34 (Spell) [NE-29] Jump on the block near the door, then jump up to the moving block. Go to the E corner of this platform, when the block comes near you push it SW while jumping repeatedly. This will push it onto a block that will slide it onto the spikes, before it lands on the spikes you must jump on it and ride it. Once it stops you can easily get your last spell, UNLOCK. 35 (R. Potion) [NW-17,SE-36] Jump across the spikes over a bunch of hidden blocks. The potion is in plain view and is fairly easy to get. 36 (R. Key) [NW-35,SE-37] Jump onto the first layer of blocks and work your way around to the key. Don't get fooled by the illusion and jump to the key, it is not where you think it is. It is on the N end of the first layer of blocks, you don't need to jump to it. 37 (Token) [NW-36,SE-38] Push the block NW half a square then SW one square, now push it NW onto the spikes and ride it across. Now push the other block SE and ride it to the token. 38 (R. Key) [NW-37,SE-39] You may want to save before attempting this room. Jump on the block in the S corner and jump N two more blocks. Now walk to the N edge of your block and jump N to the block with the key. This block will disappear dropping you and the key onto the spikes below. You can either catch the key in the air, which allows you to walk to safety. Or if you managed to get the key before the block disappeared then you will be safe anyway. 39 [NW-38,SE-3A] Jump on a block and enjoy the ride to the other side. 3A (B. Apple) [NE-3B,NW-39,SE-46,SW-44] Walk to the other door, there's no trick to it, it's just a simple trick. When you see the apple you can get it. 3B (G. Apple) [NE-3C,SE-3D,SW-3A] Jump on the block and ride it to the door or apple. *NOTE* The NE door is where the apple is. 3C (R. Key) [SW-3B] Jump on the first block then jump NE 3 times across the blocks as they disappear beneath you. Now jump SE then SW 3 times to the key very quickly, because the blocks will vanish again. 3D (B. Potion) [NW-3B,SE-3E] Kill the ghosts for the potion and ride the blocks up where you can jump to a hidden block and over the spikes. 3E (W. Apple) [NW-3D,SE-3F,SW-40] Push the block by the SW door NW towards another block. Jump on this block and kill the ghosts for the apple. *NOTE* the SE door is in the E corner of the room at the NE wall. 3F (R. Key) [NW-3E] Jump around the room across pillars and hidden blocks to the key. Just make sure you don't jump in the S corner and you'll do fine. 40 (Token) [NE-3E,SW-41] Jump SE across the blocks to the token, beware of the middle block, it will disappear. Once you have the token push the top block SW until it starts to slide onto the spikes, now jump on it and ride it across. 41 (B. Potion) [NE-40,NW-43,SW-42] Kill the ghosts for the potion. *NOTE* The SW door is in the S corner near the NE door. 42 (R. Key) [NE-41] Jump to a moving block then jump to the key and jump to the next moving block quickly. This is because the block with the key disappears after you land on it. 43 (B. Apple) [NW-44,SE-41] Kill the ghost for the apple. 44 (B. Potion) [NE-3A,NW-45,SE-43] Push the block up to the wall to get the potion. 45 (R. Key) [SE-44] Jump on the block in the E corner, when the time is right jump NW to the next block. Now grab the key and jump to a platform, the block you were standing on will vanish. 46 ENTRANCE/EXIT [NW-3A] Kill the ghosts to open the door, as you will soon notice 2 of the blocks break when you stand on them. 47 (R. Potion) [NE-1D,SW-48] Kill the ghosts for the potion. 48 (B. Key) [NE-47,SW-49] When coming from room 49 push the first block NE under the other one. Then push these stairs to the NE wall and jump up to the key. 49 (R. Apple) [NE-48,SW-4A] Kill the twisters for the apple. 4A (B. Key) [NE-49,SW-4B] When coming from room 4B run SE until you catch all 3 blocks in a staircase. Push it to the NE wall then NW to the pillar, now jump up to the key. 4B (W. Apple) [NE-4A,SW-4C] Kill the blobs for the apple. 4C [NE-4B,NW-56,SE-4D] Kill the ghost and pick a door. 4D (B. Potion) [NE-4E,NW-4C,SE-4E,SW-4F] Kill the ghosts for the potion. 4E (B. Key) [NW-4D,SW-4D] From the NW door jump onto the block and quickly jump SE twice, and SW once to the key. These 3 blocks vanish when you jump on them. 4F (R. Apple) [NE-4D,SW-51] Kill the twisters for the apple. Jump to the row of blocks and jump NE to a hidden block over the spike to get across. 50 (B. Key) [NE-51,NW-51] From the NE door jump on the block and ride it to the pillar where you can jump to the key. 51 (G. Apple) [NE-4F,NW-52,SE-50,SW-50] Kill the ghosts for the apple. *NOTE* The SW door is at the E end of the room. 52 (Token) [NE-58,NW-53,SE-51] Kill the ghosts and go to the SE door, now jump onto the row of blocks. Jump NW on a hidden block, grab the token and leave. *NOTE* The NE door is just NE of the spot where you pick up the token. Simply walk NE from there and through to room 58. Key) [NE-53,SE-53] From the SE door jump on the block and immediately jump NW to a hidden block. You can also wait until the block moves back towards the spikes before jumping to the hidden block if you're too slow. Now jump from the hidden block up to the key. 55 (R. Potion) [NE-56,SW-53] Kill the twisters for the potion. 56 (G. Apple) [NE-57,NW-57,SE-4C,SW-55] Kill the ghosts for the apple. *NOTE* The SE door is at the W end of the room. 57 (B. Key) [SE-56,SW-56] From the SW door jump on the block and walk to the SE edge. Jump NE until you reach the key at the top. 58 (Weapon) [SW-52] Here you will find your final weapon, the TWIN SWORD. Jump onto the block in the E corner and jump/push the top block on to the head of the ghost below. Now ride that block to the NW wall, and then jump SW. Now simply walk along the blocks to the weapon. 59 [NE-5A,SW-11] Wait for the block to appear then jump onto it and jump to either ledge, be careful of the slide. 5A (G. Key) [NE-5B,SW-59] Jump NE twice up the stack of blocks, and then walk to the SW edge of that block. Now quickly jump SE twice, SW once, and S to the key. All of these blocks vanish after jumping on them. 5B [NE-5C,SW-5A] Work your way to the NE end of the room by jumping onto the blocks and over them. 5C (G. Key) [NE-5D,SW-5B] As soon as you enter run NE to the spikes then SE one square, wait for the block to come near you. Now jump onto it then jump NW up the vanishing stairs, then jump SW to the slippery ledge. Fight the NE slide and jump to the key. 5D [NE-63,SW-5C] As soon as you enter get to the SE end of the room. When the first block gets close jump to it, then jump across the other two blocks and NE onto safe ground, just be careful of the slide. 5E (G. Key) [SE-5F] Jump on the block in the N corner and ride it until you can jump to the key. 5F (NE-60,NW-5E,SE-63] Just get to the door before the block does. *NOTE* The NW door is in the middle of this V shaped room. 60 [NE-61,SW-5F] This room is very easy if you know about the hidden block. As soon as you enter jump on the platform that is E of the door. Now jump NE onto a hidden block and jump NE to the door. 61 (W. Apple) [NE-62,SE-65,SW-60] The apple is easy to see and get. *NOTE* The NE door is in the path of the moving block, right beside the NW spike. 62 (G. Key) [SW-61] Kill the ghosts because they're fast and annoying. Then jump up the tower and jump onto a hidden block that is between the two blocks that you can stand on. From here jump N to the key carefully. 63 (W. Apple) [NW-5F,SE-67,SW-5D] Kill the ghost for the apple, and push the blocks closest to the SW door to get to the other side. 64 (2 Tokens) [NE-65] Kill the ghosts and push the block NE to the stairs, now jump up to the tokens. 65 (W. Potion) [NW-61,SW-64] Kill the ghosts for the potion, jump on the hidden block in the W corner and jump SE on another hidden block over the spikes. 66 (G. Key) [NE-67] As soon as you enter run SE to the spikes and jump on the block when it comes close, from here you can jump to the key. This may take a few tries to do right, after getting the key push the block NE to get out. 67 (B. Potion) [NE-63,NW-68,SW-66] Kill the ghost for the potion. *NOTE* The SW door is between the blocks, you have to get there before the moving block lands there. 68 (W. Potion, B. Potion) [NE-69,SW-67] Kill the twisters for one potion, and jump up the tower for the other. 69 [SE-6A,SW-68] Kill the ghost then push the block to the wall and jump over it. *NOTE* The SE door is over the wall. 6A (G. Key) [NW-69] As soon as you enter run NE to the N corner. With the block on your head walk SW to the wall then SE to the next wall. Now walk all the way around and use your block to get the key. BOSS (Sonia) Here it is, the final showdown between you and your father's captor. The witch Sonia has a fairly simple pattern, but her attacks make this battle very annoying, so SAVE before the fight. The attack that she uses most often consists of her firing two slow moving shots at you. These shots bounce off the walls and continue until you destroy them or until Sonia destroys them by running into them. Her other attack is to charge at you, these are her only two attacks. She also teleports from location to location, unlike most of the bosses. The basic pattern is 6 shots from 3 different locations. (One shot at each one) Then she charges at you twice, from here the pattern repeats. You can only hit her by firing while at the height of a jump. And to make things even worse you can only do this when she leans forward for a shot or charge. Keep at it though and keep your distance and you should do fine. ENDING [Taken from the game]: Glendaal has defeated the evil witch Sonia. Her influence can no longer blight the good people of Galadonia. It will take many years but Galadonia will one day return to its former glory. In a tiny chamber, concealed behind the throne of the witch Sonia, Glendaal found his father, Shadax. Although weak from cold and hunger, and almost blind from months of total darkness, Shadax was still alive... Glendaal: "Father... It is me Glendaal. Father... Wake up, you are safe now. Sonia is no more. I have come to take you back home. Our people need you." Shadax: "Uh... Uuuuh... Glen... It is really you... I have been imprisoned here for so long that I barely recognize my own son. But, you have changed so. I thank you my son, for undertaking such a dangerous quest on behalf of your foolish old father. I was tricked by Sonia. I did not detect her evil intentions. I am an old man and my powers are beginning to wane. When I saw you last you were just a child. Now, you have truly proven yourself. You are now a man. And more than that... You are a great warrior and a wizard with powers that surpass even my own. You are now a worthy heir to the ancient name of Shadax. Thank you. You have made me a proud man. I think I still have enough power to take us both home..." A Magical Journey AUTHOR'S NOTE Well, that's the end of it, this game is definitely one of the more challenging ones that I have completed. Personally I wouldn't mind seeing a third instalment in the series on some other system. Mind you the difference between the challenge and length of the first game and the challenge and length of this game is huge. QUESTIONS (email me if you know the answer, once verified I will credit you.) Is there a room 21 in dungeon 3? If so, where is it? No answers to this one yet. Is there a room 2D in dungeon 5? If so, where is it? Apparently this room does exist and has a blue key in it. (Thanks to Steven A Hackworth for this.) However I don't much feel like searching for this room, but if any of you can give me a location of where this room is, I will credit you once verified. Is there a room 02 in dungeon 7?
